Mavericks vs Pistons: An OT Thriller || Refs were TERRIBLE π€¦πΎββοΈ
Yeah. Well, well, first of all, you know, I mean, like, let’s address that, okay? Let’s address that. So, a referee makes a comment to me about night by [music] night, this is how our interactions are. So, that says to me that the referee is coming into the game not being objective. Okay, you look at the play, that same referee, right, at halftime, I get my technical foul. I don’t say anything to him. [music] I go to grab Cade to get Cade off the floor. he gives me a technical foul. That’s my job to get my player away from the referee, get us back to halftime so we can have the conversations that we need to have. [music] So the same referee who comes into the game who’s not objective, right, and then he goes out and makes those calls, those same referee, if you take a look at the play where he ejects at, he steps towards at, right? That’s where the minimal contact happens, where he steps towards him and initiates it. >> Right? So to me, and I want to make this clear, this game is not about the referees, right? This was a highly contested game by two really competitive teams with guys who laid it out on the line. But the object, it needs to be addressed with what happened out there on the floor tonight. Okay, you had one guy who wanted to make the game about the referees when that’s not what this should have been. This was two teams competing their tails off playing highle basketball. But anybody who comes into the game and says night by night, he clearly has an unobjected point of view. [clears throat] >> And again, we don’t care about how people referee us, we’re going to play physical, we walk that line, but all we’re asking for is fairness. [music] And if you come into the game with something already on your mind, then you’re obviously going to have an impact on the way you referee the game. So, you know, our guys deserve better than that. They’ve earned the respect around this league, but again, it’s something that needs to be addressed. Um, I hope, you know what I mean, they take a look at it, but again, you give a guy a technical foul for going to get his player off the floor and tell him night by night. [music] Clearly, to me, there’s something that’s going on that needs to be addressed by the league. >> Did they give you a reason for the the atjection? >> They did not give me a reason for the AT. >> From your vantage point, what’ you see on that that final play where it looked like JD got the offensive board? JD got the offensive board. I called timeout. That same referee is standing next to me does not award me the timeout. >> Detroit basketball. All right. So, let’s talk about it, right? Let’s get right to the egregiousness of of the NBA is like I said when we see teams like OKC’s and and the New Yorks with Brunson and you see these certain athletes and they get all the tickytac little girlish fouls that you can get in this league and then you see games like today with the Detroit Pistons that’s been evident since Kate has been [music] here. It’s it’s extremely frustrating. I already I got a video cooking up right now for the NBA and the NFL. [music] And you can throw college in there if you want to about the the officials in these leagues doing the the Gword. Let’s just say the G-word. You know what I’m talking about. Um I don’t want to say certain words on YouTube because YouTube is egregious, too, with their [music] monitoring. Um but the G-word, yeah, some of the outcomes of these games are not fishy. They’re obvious. They’re not even doing a good job at it there. It I don’t even understand what’s happening in some of these games. We saw it as Lions fans. We just saw uh the performance tonight as Pistons fans. We’ve been witnessing this for a long time, but it’s on a much larger scale now. And it is so obvious that let’s just say Vegas. Okay, I’m not going to say certain terms because I don’t want the algorithm, the AI algorithm to pick up stuff on YouTube, but you guys know what I’m saying right now. And it’s getting it’s so bad and it’s so obvious. [music] It is ruining sports. The moment they let it in, it has been ruining sports, man. you know, your favorite players can’t even stay in games or you can’t even see authentic big moments in games because they’re being curved by garbage. So, the Assar Thompson situation tonight, that was absolute bull. It was I’m sorry. Excuse my language, but it was Um, I’ve seen way worse. So when we see these athletes do this all the time, right? Assar Thompson, who is not even a person of conflict, rarely even says anything, goes up to a ref to state his case. And I guess I guess he was a inch too close to the ref. The ref threw him out the game. Even though he had a valid point, threw him out the game. Like this is it’s disgusting. It’s disgusting, man. The officiating against Detroit franchises, [music] but but not even just that, around these leagues. It’s it’s disgusting to see him get thrown out for something like that is it’s horrible. It’s horrible. And obviously, it played a big part with business game because a lot of that down the stretch at the end, Assar needed to be in there on Cooper Flag. You see what I’m saying? Those situations. Um, man, I don’t want to spend too much time on it because we got a lot more to talk about, but that it it was garbage. That was garbage. And then you turn around after, you know, the the first half is done and Cade is pleading his case to one of the refs. Here comes the same ref. Here comes the same ref trying to throw Cade out the game. They going to try to switch it up and say, “No, he was giving JB Bicker staff a tech.” Man, he gave Cade that tech. Ain’t nobody stupid, bro. [laughter] Ain’t nobody stupid. We seen who he was looking at. JB was just trying to get Kade out the way. So, and he was trying to pull Kade cuz he knew it was coming. Ain’t nobody stupid. >> So, I don’t know what happened with that situ situation. Maybe the league called and said, “Hey, man. You know, you got to cool it or something.” I don’t know. I don’t know who’s the head official out of those three guys, man. But you got to you cooler heads, bro. As as official, you got to be more professional than that. That’s you can’t be that sensitive, man. These are grown men. They have a right to state their case. You guys make atrocious calls a lot of the times. You guys act like you have blinders on when you looking right at certain people getting filed and you don’t call it. Kade gets filed constantly. Constantly. He gets fouled constantly. He plays a physical brand of basketball as a star guard. He puts players in the post. He attacks the basket. He plays mid-range. He’s not somebody running around like a little ant shooting three-pointers. He plays a a if even though it’s you know he’s a smooth operator out there he plays a aggressive brand of ball at his speed which is very physical and they do not give him the foul calls. Kay had a case at halftime to argue that because [music] he not only got hit on the arm when he shot the three, the guy was in his landing zone. So it it’s like how do you not call that? At at some point something is obvious. You know what I’m saying? So the Pistons I mean probably called the league office a 100 times already. But it it’s be it’s so it’s it’s you don’t want to watch some of these games. I don’t want to watch OKC. I don’t even And I’m a I’m a I love the the team built underdog type of situation. But the way that they are just creating that champion over there is sickening. It is horrible to watch. They are not fun to watch at all because of all the flopping and foul baiting going on. [sighs and gasps] Tough shooting night for the Pistons tonight, man. Uh just couldn’t couldn’t throw a rock in the ocean, man. uh you know, but the effort the effort and the defense was there tonight and that’s why they had a chance to come back. That’s why they had a chance to win this game and that’s why you know you want to keep a team like we have with the depth. There is some of you people out there. I’m not calling anybody out personally, but they are, of course, fans all always say stupid stuff, but you have some pretty highlevel people that’s entertaining this trade for Anthony Davis crap. That guy that I just seen tonight, that’s who you want to trade and give up all them assets for. You want me to trade probably a piece of my core, a solid veteran, some picks for that dude who can’t stay healthy, but also is becoming a shell of himself. Anthony Davis looks so soft out there tonight. He looked so soft to me out there. I’m not trading half of my team and part and a good portion of my depth to get that dude. No. That’s why I said no. Those dudes let the reserves kick their ass and come back in this game. Kadum was sitting down. Sasser, Dannis Jenkins, Green, those guys came in. Reed, they came in and start kicking Dallas’s ass. >> Like, come on, bro. >> [laughter] >> I I just, you know, yeah, that’s why I don’t be entertaining a lot of these trades, man. These rumors that be going on because they don’t make any logical sense. That’s why I said I was so glad when, you know, you know, Amari came out from the free press and and was breaking that down, man, his his story. So, yeah, just garbage, bro. I I don’t want none of those dudes over there. Somebody gonna be stupid enough to pick up Klay Thompson, too. That’s going to be crazy and hilarious. Um that that’s an atrocious contract to pick up. Um but yeah, we just couldn’t we couldn’t throw a rock in the ocean at times out there, man. You know, tough shooting night from three-point land for the Detroit Pistons. Duncan Robinson had a tough night tonight. If he if he’s halfway is himself tonight, we having a different conversation right now, but it just wasn’t the case tonight. Um and that’s where I feel like, you know, >> the Pistons do need to improve a little bit more. with adding at least somebody else who can knock down some consistent three-point shots. Um because when he’s not having a good shooting night, games get a lot harder for the Detroit Pistons. So, you know, like I said, we got a lot of guards, man. You see all the depth coming coming to to your uh face right now with you got Sasser and Dannis out there. You got best friends out there on the court playing today, and they play well off each other. Uh, but you know, like I said, if we make any type of move, just [music] just please be a move that’s going to actually help this team. I don’t want to see any headlines of a big name coming here just because you feel like that’s the right thing to do. I don’t think Trey Langon is even looking that way. But, you know, media and and of course, uh, a lot of fans and and creators, they’re going to push that because they just like to hear themselves say it or have something to talk about. Um, [music] and that’s that’s their prerogative. I, you know, like I said, for me, I’m not for the I’m not for the nonsense. [music] Um, bring somebody in here that’s gonna contribute to this team and help us push us to a better level. Not somebody that’s going to be pretty much even of what we doing [music] are already. So, seen some uh some some micorters out there um recently as far as trade talks go. And for some of the prices that I seen wasn’t the worst thing in the world. If I got to give up one first round pick, Tobias, uh, you know, one of our reserve guards, fine. You know what I’m saying? But when you started getting talking about three and four dudes and Ron Hollands and Assars and things like that, that’s where I got to turn you off because our team, our team, the team that you just watched tonight having a bad shooting night, still had a chance to win this game. Our team is good. So why are we making trades like we’re desperate? Unless it’s just a home runner that’s going to guarantee you to have that push to the finals, which I don’t see nobody making any any type of trades to Detroit for that. Why are we [music] doing it? Why are we doing it? So yeah, we move on to the next game, man. The Pistons, you know, they going to pick themselves up. Um, I’m probably sure it was a lot of of beautiful things said after the game to the officiating crew. I hope we don’t see this crew for a little while. But with that said, I’m I’m good with it. You know what I’m saying? They they gave it everything they had tonight and that’s all I asked for. That is all I asked for. Um, and and shout out to the to the reserves once again. Dennis Jenkins, Sasser Green, Reed, you guys, man. Uh, those guys rock tonight. They did their thing tonight. Uh we needed that performance from them. Um and yeah, I’ll see you guys in the next one. Peace. [music]
The Detroit Pistons suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss to the Dallas Mavericks in overtime, but this game will be remembered just as much for the officiating as the final score.
The Pistons were put at a major disadvantage due to a series of questionable calls, including an ejection of Ausar Thompson, a technical foul on Cade Cunningham, and a technical on head coach J.B. Bickerstaffβwhich originally stemmed from Cadeβs situation. Momentum completely shifted as whistles piled up at crucial moments.
Referee John Goble was at the center of the controversy, handing out multiple technicals and controlling the tone of the game in a way that heavily impacted Detroit down the stretch. In a tight, physical matchup that went to overtime, the Pistons never got a fair chance to decide the game on basketball alone.
Despite the adversity, Detroit continued to fight, but the combination of inconsistent officiating and lost rhythm proved too much to overcome in a game that easily could have gone the other way.

The refs were betting on the Mavs!π‘
The league is trying to force the pistons to take AD, so they can make other moves to get Yanis to NYC or GS.
REFEREES NEED to BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE!!!!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS
We got robbed this game and it was retardedly still entertaining, we battled off Mavs & the refs and barely lost LOL

Both the NFL and NBA has been unwatchable because the officiating is this badβ¦
Duren should've stayed on the bench with Tobias Harris. Tobias Harris belongs on the bench
Call it out King. Soooo tired of this bullshit. ACCOUNTABILITY needs to be held at all costs.
