Philly has had their ups and downs, but as I’m watching Seattle against LA right now and Darnell’s throwing his second pick of the game, and seeming like they will now fall to 0-2 against LA, they don’t scare me in a playoff game in Philly. You look at Chicago and Green Bay in the North and you could say that Chicago handled us, but what would only a second year Caleb Williams actually look like in a playoff game against us ? And we already know that the packers aren’t that much of a threat to us, especially after the Parsons injury. So let’s say hypothetically the Rams get that #1 seed and we travel to LA for an NFC Championship matchup, Nick Sirianni is 4-0 against Sean McVay… and it’s not like the Rams have some crazy home field advantage as Philly fans travel well, plus it will be in a dome so weather shouldn’t be a factor.

Yes this team has had their inconsistencies, but the offense actually did some good things this past Sunday against Las Vegas , and yes you could say the raiders aren’t bad, but 31-0 is what you would expect an ELITE team to do to a bad team, the talent is still there and quite frankly, we still have arguably the most talented roster in the league. I can tell you that this season won’t end up like 2023, that was an anomaly with one of the worst defenses we could’ve ever fielded, compared to this year with Fangio still as OC and some of the talent we have added since then on that side of the ball, and they’ve shown this year to still be elite, and an Elite defense is what separates you in the playoffs from all the other good Offensive driven teams in the playoffs. We also got to only assume that they will use Jalen Hurts a whole lot more as a designed runner in the playoffs, as you seen they sprinkled it in a little bit against the Raiders, they have probably been saving those plays in their back pockets and will unleash Hurts as a true duel threat.

This team very much still has a real shot at defending the title and repeating as champs. We still have the infrastructure in terms of the talent on the roster , our QB is a proven big game hunter and playoff riser, Sirianni even though he’s not the greatest Xs and Os wise is still a great in game manager and leader of men, and still have an elite defense that will be ready.

This is a team NOBODY should want to have to play in the first round in Philly…

(And as I’m typing I just seen that the LA vs Seattle game is now tied at 30-30 wow things changed fast.)

  1. I really do want to agree with this but I just haven’t seen enough yet. I really want to see what we do vs the bills

  2. I love the optimism but let’s be real, Eagles lose to both of these teams based on recent performances. We can only hope

31-0 against the raiders wasn’t an elite result either, it was the bare minimum considering the quality we have. Chiefs also beat them 31-0 and didn’t make playoffs. Colts bet them 40-6. They’re a bad team.

One step at a time though

  3. I agree with your main sentiment, the NFC is wide open.

I think 1-7 none would surprise me if they made Super Bowl…cept maybe Panthers or Bucs but even Tampa is a team that can “turn it on”

  4. I think they’re figuring it out. As bad as the Chargers game was, I think they got a lot of hiccups out, and hopefully should win the last 3 games. The only team that scares me really is the Rams.

  5. I totally agree that both the Rams and Seahawks are beatable. I would also say with extreme confidence that the 2024 Eagles would kick their asses easily. But the 2025 Eagles? Maybe we’re 1 point favorites at home, but we’re definitely road underdogs.

  6. I don’t think we can win in Seattle. Their fans actually care. I do think we can win in LA. It really is right there if we can get it together.

  7. We’ve been inconsistent all season, not sure why we’ll get it together in time for playoffs. I’d love to be wrong.

  8. I’d rather play rams in la than play seahawks in seattle for the nfc championship if it comes down to it..

  9. Seattles fan base is off set by Sam darnold. As long as Fangio is by my side I will never fear Sam darnold

  10. I just need to see that Lane and Jalen Carter are playing healthy. If I see that I think we can beat anyone, especially if counted out.

  11. Right now the offense isn’t good enough to even win one playoff game but if they actually trend in the right direction (in a weird way the chargers game was that as was the raiders game) and they average 30 ppg against 2 terrible defenses I’ll say they’re the favorite.

  12. The question is can the eagles score like these teams if they have to in the playoffs. Gotta pray the defense continues its elite play and doesn’t pull another bears game.

  13. They didn’t fall to 0-2 against LA did they? I’ve been saying all year, they have a scary team. It’s pretty bottlenecked by Darnold’s hold-and-cold nature but when he’s hot, that team is near-unbeatable. That was a real comeback win against the Rams, compared to our miraculous lucky fluke in the final moments.

  14. Rams seemed like the overall best team in the NFC. I’m not so sure now. All of these teams are beatable lol. I still don’t really believe in Sam Darnold though. He doesn’t really beat a whole lot of good teams. If they end up with the 1 seed I could see a scenario of them getting bounced in the divisional round. Which may sound a little bit crazy. But I’m more or less counting on it at this point because if there’s a chance of us going on the road to play Seattle the eagles are getting beat. They have never beaten Seattle on the road. I would MUCH rather have a team like the rams be the 1 seed because unlike Seattle we’ve beaten them quite a bit in LA. As for the other teams… I don’t really have much confidence in the other teams. Caleb Williams doesn’t have playoff experience and the Bears organization has a knack for breaking their fans hearts. Packers are a lot more beatable now that Micah is gonna be out. The 49ers are solid but they have a lot of injury issues. But yeah the NFC is basically wide open now. I mean this is setting up pretty well for the eagles overall. If we continue to gain momentum through the last 3 weeks of the season, and MAYBE get a 2 seed I feel like this team can go on another run. Especially if these teams that don’t have playoff experience flounder like the bears. Or if Sam Darnold does Sam Darnold things and chokes in the playoffs.

Also on a side note it would be sort of hilarious for an eagles Super Bowl to get set up as a 3 seed. They won their 1st Super Bowl as a 1 seed. Their 2nd Super Bowl as a 2 seed. 3rd Super Bowl? We’ll see what happens.

  15. Why did you jinx the game? I love this team w all my heart, I’ll die an eagles fan…but idk if we’d be able to compete w either one in the playoffs unless our offense does a complete 180 from the whole rest of the season. Our defense is good enough to hold either team to under 20 as long as they stay healthy, but the offense…ughhh idk if they could put up 20+ against a top defense atp. Like the raiders game was great, but they probably should’ve been able to put up even more points against a team with only one playmaker on defense. I’d feel a little more comfortable playing the Rams given McVay always goes conservative when he’s up. Luckily the cowboys only have to lose to the chargers to be in the playoffs bc we could split it w the commanders. I hope we crush them so we can sit our starters the last week.
