The Wild just made a MAJOR statement…

The Minnesota Wild just made a major statement after winning a game in which they should have had every facet lost this game. Yes, Walstead once again standing tall. Matt Baldy coming out here and playing his game and multiple other players giving us some very surprising looks. This team really showed what they were made of and sent a serious message to the NHL that they are not messing around. Now, we’re going to be breaking down this game, going over a little bit, as well as multiple updates here at the end of this video, including a roster move, technically a roster move that this team did make. Before we do jump into it though, ladies and gentlemen, I ask you one favor, and that’s if you haven’t already, be sure to hit the sub button, join me here on the channel. We got the second video here of the day, and we have another very interesting video coming tomorrow with a few more reports dropping on what the Wild’s next move may be. So, you will not want to miss that. Be sure to hit the sub button. Hit the bell as well so you do not miss when we upload. Now, we need to get straight into this. And I first wanted to go over the stat card. Now, looking at this, there’s one obvious name at the bottom. Quinn Hughes. Not the greatest game from Quinn Hughes. This was a game where we really saw that it’s going to take some time to get used to the system. The first really, you know, instance in this game that we noticed something was when he nearly ran into Matt Baldy when the Wild were dominating in the offensive zone, cycling the puck for multiple times, ultimately leading to a Warensky goal. That was just a mistake by not knowing the system, not being familiar with the system more so than not knowing it, and ultimately saw that uh you turn out into not the ideal result for the Wild. And going into that though, wasn’t ultimately too much from him either. A lot of just trying to contain the puck. And the Wild ultimately, I know I’m saying ultimately a lot, but they didn’t really play great this game. And I’m not going to sugarcoat anything. You guys know me. I’m calling a spade a spade here. But who did play well is Yakov Trenion. He by far was one of, if not the best player on the ice here. The stat card has him as the best. And I would argue that that is absolutely correct. Matt Baldi, Denila, Vladimir Terasenko, all playing fantastic again. Capriovv, shout out Carson Lambos for his first game here in the NHL. He played fantastic, which is a phenomenal sign going forward for this Minnesota Wild team, especially with the injuries. And the rest of the pack really kind of just was playing. It wasn’t the most pretty game. The third period is when we really saw this team ramp things up and even in the, you know, the later half of the second was really when this team started to get going. Now, looking at how this game was and how this game really looks as a overall numerical total for team stats, they got dominated on the faceoffs. Their neutral zone control really wasn’t the best. The Blue Jackets were able to take a lot of pucks away from this Wild team, especially Tyler Pitlick allowing that puck to be taken by Zacharinsky going for his second goal of the game. This game could have been 5 nothing solely because of two mistakes and one name in specific who has been keeping us in games all season long. Yesper Walston. The Wild were never going to lose to the Columbus Blue Jackets. They were going to either lose to themselves, which it looked like at the start of the game that was going to be the chance, or Zach Worinsky, the same thing. He was the guy who scored two goals, really put up the only offense that mattered for this Columbus Blue Jackets team, but the Wild were managing to stay in it. And that is why this team is where they are in the standings. This is why this team is showing how good they can be because even in games where they do not deserve to win, and I’m not going to sugarcoat it. Like I said, this game was a stinker for the most part from this team. They still managed to pull out a massive win here. Even while still significantly injured and we had another scare in this game from Nicob Kubel who did leave the game, but did come back near midway through the third and ended the game, which is a very positive sign even though it is Nicico Bell and you know it could be a lot worse. you cannot afford to have any names out of this lineup anymore and you know risk anything going forward. Now going in to W’s last games because once again he did keep us in this game kind of crazy to say that this was uh over the last four his second worst game. I know it’s kind of crazy to say but the way that it popped up as you know his last game was the 13th the 5-day break they’re going to be a busy weekend for this wild team. We have to assume that Yesper Walston will at least get one of them. Whether it is going to be Edmonton or Colorado still yet to be determined, but he once again has earned another spot to jump in here whenever needed. Held this game together, made some very important saves on some very good tries. And Zacharinsky being one of the best defenseman in the league, being the only guy to get two goals. That’s going to happen. You know, that’s going to happen to any goalie in the NHL. And if it kind of goes to Zacharinsky as well this game, he got two goals. the game before, not against the Wild, but his last game he also had two goals. So, he’s just a phenomenal phenomenal hockey player. Now, the way that all of this really kind of came together, of course, Zack Rinsky getting the first, the Wilds popping two there within 3 minutes to go up two to one. Zacharinsky getting that second, really taking the wind out of the sails for the Wild here, but they stepped up in the third period. They had one shot for majority of the second period until where the last 10 minutes they stepped up once again. And at the end of the day, being able to get Eric, Capri off, Baldi, those three, that first line finishing this game for you, that’s really where a lot of this comes to be because even though these guys still, you know, game in game out are going to be the ones you rely on. You still need your entire team working. And for the most part in this game, that was not the case. So, it’s a good thing. Yakov, Trenion, that second line with Terasenko and Yurov still playing fantastic. That was one anomaly I would say that this game really uh you know saw a positive from. But a win is a win. So whatever happens, it happens. You take this, you get a break tomorrow and then you go into the weekend and need a uh another big win against not just Edmonton, not just Colorado, but not just Nashville. You need it against all three. And even like we said where Quinn Hughes overall in this game necessarily wasn’t the greatest on the impact stat card, he was noticeable. Of course, a few blunders, a few mishaps. It’s going to happen, especially for someone who’s only playing his third game in a new team after spending years with another. Going into this game, he played 32 minutes. Time out. He played over half of this game. He played 51% of this game. I That’s probably not the ma the correct math, but he played a lot of this game. and having him go out here for 32 minutes. Beware to 30 even strength, a minute on the power play, you know, 3 seconds on on the penalty kill, that don’t really matter. But it goes to show once again that this stat card could be a lot worse if Quinn Hughes was not the player he was. We still saw the positives. Some great breakout passes, some great maneuvering, great puck uh footwork, great puck movement. just a team that was very good on the, you know, on the defense side of things in the offensive zone for them in Columbus and really the Wild just not being able to play their game, not getting enough room for Quinn Hughes to get the puck to them and a lot of things like that. So, not necessarily blaming whatsoever on Quinn Hughes, but certainly were some things that you’d like to see cleaned up that will be when he does get used to this system. And once again, as well as the injuries, I feel like this is something that continuing to go on being noticed every single game. One thing that we can take away though is that Jonas Broaddin, Marcus Johansson, Zack Mgoan, three of which are projected to be back on the 20th, which is Saturday, the game against the Edmonton Oilers. Whatever happens happens. Hopefully, we do see all three of them back, but we cannot right now say for sure. Now, the Wild did make a move prior to uh this game late earlier today, a little bit after my video went up actually, and it was this. They placed Ben Jones on waiverss to reset their clock. Now, of course, he did play today, but resetting the clock just gives them the opportunity that he don’t need to go through waiverss again when he does ultimately come down to uh no longer needing to be on this team, when everybody gets healthy, whenever that is still yet to be determined. But to simplify it, Michael Russo gave us this very kind of good thing. So shout out to him here. If he clears tomorrow, it allows to send him down. And if somebody uh can return this weekend with afternoon game on Saturday, they needed flexibility to do uh versus tomorrow. Pit can also be sent back because he cleared waiver a week or two ago. So basically, you have the guys until they’re needed, then you can send them down if they don’t get claimed. and just really gives the Wild um you know a very smart and sneaky option to kind of get a loophole off waiverss by being able to send them down when they’re not needed anymore, which is very important right now with how this uh is all playing out with the injuries here. So, ladies and gentlemen, I want to know what you guys think about this team. Do you think I’m being a little bit too harsh on them this game or do you think that uh or do you agree with me? You know, it really wasn’t the most beautiful game. Third period was much much better. But there was a lot of times where I was yelling at the TV, “Make this play. Keep it simple. Don’t try and cut towards the middle of the ice.” You know, things that you learn in minor hockey. Let me know if you agreed with that or if I’m being too hard on this team. And I I really think it is just because we need to clean up the game, need to continue winning, and even though there’s a lot of injuries, we still need to play the best hockey we can so that we’re not going to be starting on the road if it do come playoff time. So, ladies and gentlemen, let me know what you think here in the comments below. And if you did enjoy, give it a like. Hit the sub button as well. Your support’s been absolutely incredible as of late. I appreciate every single one of you guys watching this video. But like I said, I’m signing out. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day. See you later.

The Minnesota Wild got a gutsy win against the Columbus Blue Jackets when they did not prove that they should have won. The Wild’s second line continued to play fantastically between Danila Yurov, Yakov Trenin, and Vladimir Tarasenko. 1. Canucks fan here following Hughes…….why the HELL is he playing 32 minutes!!! in a regular season game against Columbus?!?! Stupid……you risk injury and fatigue…….

  2. I have watched EVERY game for the past nine years or so. This wasn't the greatest game, but it certainly wasn't the worst this year. Until the puck got turned over and led to the 1st goal, I was really liking the movement in the zone. I also thought this was the first game that we really got to see Quinn Hughes display his skating ability a bit more. Not sure why they aren't just letting him skate the puck across the blue line. Thank goodness the Russians decided to show up and start playing hockey the last few games while half team is missing.

  3. Columbus showed up; It was a hard fought game. This league is competitive, but the Wild showed their mettle and finished the game well!

  4. I know all Hughes secrets and will be dumping them soon folks keep your heads up. maybe tomorrow or sometime in the next week,Everything on how to cover beat and make him sad and take him off his game ive watched him for years. see you soon

  5. It wasn't an awesome showing, for sure. Lots of messy passing, and way too much time in our own end. But the Russian line looks excellent, and of course the Wall of St Paul was immaculate (if it hadn't been Zach Werenski out there picking pockets and getting breakaways, he might have been perfect.) But agreed: truly exceptional teams find a way, even when they're not firing on all cylinders, even when everyone is hurt. Nice work, boys.
