Postgame vs DAL (12/18): Nedeljkovic

giveaway. >> Uh, which one? >> So, your your year giveaway? >> Uh, I just I saw they took the wall away. I think they were coming hard. I think I made the play earlier in the game, so I just tried to, you know, I thought we we had an opportunity there to maybe hit the middle. I just didn’t execute on the play. >> Would you say it’s just one you just missed an ass there basically? You knew where? >> Yeah, I just didn’t execute the play. >> I mean, obviously you don’t want to. You’re somebody who goes game to game, period to period, the confidence. How did you feel about the rest of your performance? And I know a lot of people are going to look at that giveaway, but you know, you made some good saves and played easy. I >> thought it was fine. I mean, it would have been nice to get out of the first, maybe only down one. Um, uh, you know, I got caught I got caught checking when he made the like when he made the pass on the first goal. So, I was just a split second behind and then maybe a little deep on the second one. So, you probably could have left that period tied 0, honestly. So, um, you know, not my best. uh could have been a difference tonight, but um you know is what it is. We’ll move on, get ready for the next one. >> At Stars team, I mean the second best record in the NHL and you guys hung with them and carried play for a lot of it. Is this you know a game where you guys can you know obviously you’re disappointed with the win but you can take a step from it to build some confidence off. >> Yeah, I mean we’re playing good. We’ve been playing really well lately. We just got to you know we just got to stay consistent in a few areas and you know like you said we’re right there. We were right there with them. carried play for for a lot of that game. So, um yeah, just uh you know, probably look at video and stuff tomorrow, see what we can be better at and uh you know, get ready for their Saturday. >> Has it just been different since uh the Toronto game, the Pittsburgh game, maybe even tonight where you match the you know, very good team like the Stars um that just can filling like the the chest that popped up higher. You just beat anybody catch up uh you know, against any deficit. >> Yeah, I it’s great. It’s a great feeling, you know, um to beat obviously some top teams in the league. Uh I think, you know, maybe we’d like to maybe lead for majority of those games instead of trail. So, um but I mean, you got to find different ways to win and we’re finding different ways to win right now. Obviously, you know, we come back and we we’re leading for most of that game against Calgary the other night. So, we’re doing it all sorts of different ways. Um we just got to, like I said, just be a little bit more consistent in some areas and uh and you know, we can really kind of take off. There’s a few stretches tonight where laying the puck in your own your guys’ end for for for a little while. What What about their game makes it so difficult for them? Allows them to to keep the puck for long stretches like >> Well, I mean, they got a lot of skill and and their skill has a lot of size and it’s hard to it’s hard to move big bodies out there. um especially when they’re moving their feet and they play fast and and I think that’s what we’re trying to do, you know, away from the puck without the puck is play fast ourselves and and closing quickly and swarming and and winning those battles and and and ultimately, you know, when you don’t have it, you’re trying to create a 50-50 puck and and try to, you know, we got to try to find a way to come out with more of those in our own end and try to stop their momentum a little little quicker. But, uh um you know, we’re getting there. We’re getting there. A lot of it sometimes too is just managing the puck a little bit better. And if we put pucks in better spots, you know, uh it doesn’t give them an opportunity to play with any speed. They got to slow it down. And then that kind of allows us to get to our

  1. Ned, even if you did execute the play, that was a horrible decision to throw it straight up the middle. You have generally been good, but my god you make some derpy ass plays sometimes 😂

  2. Ned please stop doing shit like that thought you would have learned from the Vegas game! No it’s not move on it’s learn get better!! Come on man it’s the NHL you don’t play for Dallas anymore!

  3. I think he played a decent game overall. However that one play changed the game, but I don’t think he’s a bad goalie because of it since he’s been doing pretty decent this season. It happens.
