Flames make the playoffs. Only andersson gets traded. Flames avoid fantasy draft picks
Andersson's ask probably starts with a 10 now and the Flames pay it if they want to remain a bubble team. A ballsy move would be to trade him for a 1st and a top prospect.

Very good point by Rhett. If Flames are offering Rasmus $7M on a new contract, then they can't say he should return 3 first rounders in a trade because $7M players aren't worth 3 first rounders.
Losing to the Kracken would be like beating the Avalanche. The Tank is still on track. Relax.
I actually enjoyed watching and cheering for the Flames last year… 👍. This year they are not as engaging or fun to watch. 😢.
I feel like the numbers for Rasmus aren’t the only part of the decision. What about contracts in a short number of years for entry level people? What about prospects in the system that need a spot in the NHL team? (Yes some would say get rid of bean, Hanley, pachal, etc.)
