Michael Burrows will be joining the Astros In a 3 team trade

The Houston Astros completed a three-team trade today. Mike Burroughs will be coming to the Astros pinning physicals. The Astros send Jacob Melton and Anderson Breto to the Rays. The Rays send Brandon Laauo, Jake Mangum, and Mason Montgomery to the Pirates. Now, everybody was looking at Shane Bos to be the guy that they get from the Rays, but when you hear about the return the Rays got from the Orioles, you’ll see why the Astros did not go after him. The Orioles get Shane Bos. The Rays get Slater Day de Brunaden Boddine, Michael Forest, Austin um Overn, and a competitive balance round a pick. A huge hall for Bos. The Houston Astros do get a young pitcher. They do get a guy 26 years of age, a lot of controllable years. So, we’ll see if anything else happens in the offseason.   6. WATCH BURROW'S 2025 HIGHLIGHTS ON YOUTUBE. VERY GOOD. 70/80 CHANGEUP. ASTROS LOVE CHANGEUP GUYS. THIS GUY IS UNDER CONTROL FOR FIVE SEASONS. MELTON WAS NOTHING WE COULD USE. BRITO HURTS, BUT BRITO IS 3 YEARS FROM MLB. AT LEAST.

  8. Over a K per inning. Good HR/BB rate. Lots of swings and misses on his changeup and 96mph 4 seam. Also throws a curve and slider/cutter. His 4 seam rises and has lateral movement as well as that rise. Sets up that changeup great. Tunnels VERY WELL, so a 96mph fastball and an 87 mph changeup make for crazy groundball rates and K. Doesn't give up hard contact. Lots of grounders and double plays. Pop ups. Less pop FLY. If Baz was THAT expensive, glad we got Burrows. Look at his splits for last year. Sub 4 era, but the peripherals say he could have, on a better defensive team (ASTROS) been a sub 3 era SP. This guy is our future now. He is just as good as Dylan Cease. Learned from Skenes. Last 100 ip last year were aces.

  13. Jim Crane will see ticket sales declining next season as the Texans and Rockets are currently contending teams trying to battle for a championship in the city. With inflation and cost going up. People are stuck choosing which teams and games they want to spend their hard earning money on.
