shoots. Stop, rebound. Oh, and they can’t put it home. A good look for Dawson Mercer and Carella 
during training camp that has shelved him till this point of the season. The Devils get something 
going. Brat to the front and bounced off comes around the board. Seanthaler on the pinch. Play it 
along. And now Keller will look to get it out for Nick Schmaltz. And Clayton Keller with it. Goes 
out high. Dury with a shot. Pad save. Hardstrom. And behind the net. Nick Schmaltz does enough to 
get it to Keller who flips it out high. Keller gets it back from the line. Sergich. And now the 
defenseman jersey to Sergachev. Over to Keller. Keller towards the front to steer it away and 
now D Simone will get it out for Jack McBain. McBain across Carpon to the front. Oh, and 
Booth looking for NHL goal. One is robbed. The deflection and then Nikki almost but no cigar for 
Denil boot. It’s when not handled by Shawn Dery and Utah look to get it out. 23 road games will 
have been played by Christmas. But Turko with a backhander and that’s stopped as my guy’s out 
injured on my lineup card. It’s down to Logan Guly and Ysef Alamaki as a shot is stewed away 
by I think the words were what was that? He’s still marking along the ice. Yeah, I’ll leave 
it at that. Back out high jersey to the front. He scores in the open first National Hockey

a cover. Force those shots from the outside. And it’s the ones that go through the triangle 
that are the most dangerous. Looks like he’s losing it. Another chance. Hatton up and gets a 
backhander away and it’s covered by Mark Stro. He sure brings it right back for New Jersey. 
They’ll play it out high. Hamilton’s got it and he shoots and a glove save for America. 
And out of the zone, Krookshank. Devils bring it back. Krookshank gets a double team there. 
Couple of big hits. Rattle. Send it around. Luke Hughes. He’s got some room for Heir now. 
Holding his brat for Hughes with a shot and a stop. Had save. Really didn’t even allow them 
to get that puck off the yellow kick plate. Dawson. Mercer can’t advance it. And Schmaltz 
goes the other way. Oldfashioned slap shot. Cody Glass for Mercer to 
the front and follow up. Oh, recovers Marino. Awareness from Marino 
and up the boards and out. Dylan Gunther. Now Gunther holding on to it. He takes the 
room. He shoots. Oh boy. And now Carone into the corner. Payton late in the power play 
jersey. He shoots, stop, rebound. It’s in front and grabbing a Jacob Marstrom. Defensive 
players supposed to put their stick down first. Crouch with a shot and covered. And 
now heir out high. Luke Hughes brat towards the front. Mason can’t bang it 
home. He’s hanging out right in front. Hughes shoots. That goes just wide. Herbert 
going to try to free it. Can’t get it out. Hughes. And another look. Hughes with it. 
And a shot gobbled up by Carell Dilka. Send it over the top. Douggee Hamilton. He’ll get it 
right back. Hamilton shoots and a stop. Lamela. This one’s going to skirt past 
Connor Run and all the way down. Cody Glass right back to the front. Connor Hamilton shoots. Stopped by Vulca. Hamilton again. 
A shot blocked away. Well, he can really fire it, can he? Douggee Hamilton, real good veteran 
defenseman. Long time Carolina hurricane penalty is over. Mercer got it though. Mercer 
down low but taken away Sergeev and he’ll go off the boards and here comes Krauss. Great 
late change for New Jersey. Krauss shoots. Stop that time. Lawson Krauss right out of the 
penalty box with a great look and a one- nothing second period game. And turn back to center 
for Hamilton. Devils get it in. Conor Brown. Brown trying to get it to the 
front doors. He took it away, but Brown’s got another look and he 
scores. Conor Brown and he’s tied it at one just a little bit too long. And finally, 
after several power play opportunities in the second period, it’s a broken play off 
the fourth check as Connor Brown rifles this one over the blocker. But this is exactly how 
the Devils do most of their damage. Nick Utah look to answer here. Brown getting his ninth 
set up by Heir Gumper across. Krauss with a shot and a stop by Mark Stro. Krauss keeps it 
at the line. Marstrom will set it for Peshi and now Surgich. Beautiful response right 
away there from the mammoth. Gunther shot on stopped again. Marks from this time for 
McBain. Building types of ships. A common threat on more chances than not as net drives. A 
shot by D Simone is handled. Look at for 5’9. He certainly packs a punch, doesn’t he? Oh, he has 
been so good. D Simone with a shot over the top. McD Simone will go right back after it. And Cole 
that ricochets off glass. McBain plays it right to the front. O’Brien. Nifty pass from Mcbane 
there. Back of the line. Cole quickly to D Simone. Ian Cole wrist shot and loose puck that might 
have caught it. Is attention to detail in every capacity during that break. They were working 
on fixing the top part of the glass after one of the harder hits from Lam O’Brien over here in 
the corner. A big hit there. Lawson Krauss. He’s done it all tonight. Isn’t he losing Krauss 
67 Gunther right back towards the front line late in the second period here and Keller 
will bring it out back in Keller right to the floor and covered by Hardtorm is brat who 
left his own zone trying to stretch Kony’s in Keroot and he’s pulled down it’s going to be 
a hooking ball. Maybe one final look. Sergeev and out Gunther. Sergeev. One final look 
at the horn and it’s handled by Marstrom. Pratt brings it out. And now Heir in front. Nason 
and save. Point blanker. Carella Hughes to the front and they score on the rebound 
and Stephan Mason has given the Devils a 2-1 lead off the original rush right there and then this 
puck gets worked back around and it’s just a simple wrist shot. You’ll see Nason goes to the 
net front and screens Vla so he can’t field that one cleanly. It’s actually Nason that deflects 
it down to himself before corelling that rebound and putting it home for the lead. Oh, moral of 
the story here for the Utah Mammoth. Got to stay out of the penalty box. Uh too many penalties in 
this game in my career. I’ve lost track of it. brought back through center ice. Gunther has it. 
D Simone backhander stopped by Marstrom. Yeah, D Simone. It’s not going to be enough 
for Utah if they don’t give up any shots but don’t get any of their own. 
Turn was talking to us this morning about margins in hockey games. Gunther 
with a shot and stopped by Markstrom. Carone into the Devil’s End. Carone tried to drop 
him to the front. Hoots there again. Dawson Mercer out of the zone. Play it along. Heir one-on-one. 
He shoots and Vila with Conor in a lockup battle there with Ian Cole. Comes out high. White’s got 
it for Dylan and steered away by Vila. To me, one of the ways to generate offense here down the 
stretch. Jerseyy’s in front and centered over the top there. They they make a wall at that blue 
line out high. Surgl to the bench shooting and a stop is on the ice, guys. Keller’s got it. 
They look around. They got three players in front. Serge Keller. Keller. He shoots. Denied. 
Rebound in front. Bouncing puck. Stenland moves it along for Smalls. Smalls tries to work it 
to the front right there. Purka can’t put it home. Four to go. And now Sergich fires from the 
point and bounces off and the Devils will win. So Utah nearly able to find a way 
in the dying seconds. Face off. Peter tries to shovel it to the front.
