Why the 1996 Bulls Would Beat the 2017 Warriors
The Golden State Warriors with Kevin Durant. >> Mhm. >> Against the 72-10 Bulls. Who wins that series? I give the Warriors a game. I think it’s a sweep, but I give them a game. >> No, I I give them two. >> But you Okay. But I’m But I’m going with the Bulls. >> Okay. >> I give them two. Uh because you look around at that Chicago Bull team and you look at that Golden State team and you know, this is always the question. Oh, who who gonna guard Steph? Who gonna guard Clay? Who going? >> Okay. You do know they at three of the best defenders of all time. >> The Bulls. >> Yeah. >> Four out of five. >> Yeah. And Michael Jordan, >> Scotty Pippen. >> Scotty Pippen, Ron Harper, >> Dennis Robin, and Ron Harper. >> So they going to guard out of them. >> But here’s what the non basket the fans, the people that ain’t never played will say, man, who’s stopping Steph with the threes and play with the threes. >> That’s what I’m talking about. So So I’m going to say Rod or MJ is guarding Steph, >> right? Rod RMJ is guarding Clay, >> right? >> Kevin Durant. Scotty Pippen got you >> now. He’s not stopping a Kevin Durant. >> He’s not stopping him, but he going to make it hard. >> He going to give KD to Mike. He going to make it cuz again, Scotty 67 68 long you know Kevin 611. Really, >> right? >> He ain’t going to stop him, but he going to be right there on every shot. >> And Dennis Ryman will literally be in Draymond. >> Yeah. >> Literally actually be in it. Again, that’s that’s a carbon copy. You know, those are two those are two you got two great defenders. >> Yes, >> Draymond’s a great defender. Draymond handles the ball and initiates offense. Obviously, that’s not Dennis’s forte, but rebounding and defending. >> Chicago beats him in five, six. >> And then I would throw in and tell me if I’m wrong, but you got two sevenfooters who can shoot from the perimeter and Longland. Yeah. >> And then you still got to almost worry about Steve Kerr with the threes. And >> not you don’t almost have to, you have to. >> Okay. >> Steve Kerr to this day has the best percentage all time in NBA history from three. >> Scotty Pippen walking into the arena the other day runs into Paul Paps from Dan Patrick’s show. Paul asks him, “Uh, if your team from 96 played these Warriors, what would happen?” And Scotty said, “We would sweep them.” Charles, what do you think? >> I disagree with Scotty. I think the Warriors would win one game. Arguably the three’s most athletic players to ever play in NBA. Michael Jordan, Scotty Pippen, and Dennis Rodman. They would have a field day against a small, no disrespect, the Warriors are terrific. Steph Curry is terrific. Klay Thompson, they’re amazing. DM’s a hell of a player. But Dennis Rodman, Scotty Pipp, and Michael Jordan in a free flowing game. No hand checking. They would be even better than they were in 96. Michael Jordan playing by today’s rules, he’s at a serious advantage. And Michael Jordan and Scott Pippet can guard Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, but they have nobody can keep Dennis Rodman off the boards. And he can guard Draymond. He can guard Igodalis.

The bulls would have exhausted the warriors,
Kukoc???
Rodman would frustrate Green so much, he would get suspended
Warrior 2017 in 1996 with all physical playing, are you kidding me, warrior had no chance 😂😂😂😂
I’m not saying the warriors would win but this team had issues with Reggie miller. Jordan himself said he was difficult to guard. Now the warriors has two players that’s going to be running everywhere which at some point would wear them down. Nobody is guarding them two one on one because they’re not stationary. I’ve seen Kobe destroy Pippen. Many forgot Kobe also said Durant was a difficult person to guard. I believe Dennis would get in Draymond head throughout the series. That’ll more likely be the deciding factor.
I got GS
Didn't MJ say Reggie Miller and the Pacers we're the hardest team to beat because of RMs off ball movement, I could be wrong but I think guarding Steph is a lot more taxing than they think. Reggie walked so Steph could run. It would definitely be an interesting matchup
Why Rodman got to be in draymonds ass lmao
I think they’d put Rodman on kd and pip on Draymond. And Kerr would throw the game as a coach 😂
Didn't even mention Kukoc 😂
I'm a say this, if the refs play fair and don't give MJ all the calls, I don't know who will win, but it's going to 7. Why, they gonna spread the floor, GS have more shooters then chi. Also, the bench gonna play a factor. Livingston was a problem. Also, if Chapman by himself gave chi a problem with his shooting from the outside, what do you think Curry, Durant, clay, Livingston , come on,
I would put Rodman on KD, Pippen on Steph , Harper on Klay Jordan on Draymond so he can help on whoever and play the lanes, plus Draymond would have to keep his handle real
tight bringing the ball up with MJ and them Sasquatch hands picking up 94 feet. I kno for a fact K.Durant CAN NOT stay locked in and play thru Rodman pulling his shorts down, grabbing his inner thigh meat in the post, blowing kisses at him and telling him for the game tonight he didn’t wear any draws on purpose , staring at him uncomfortably wit a face full of lipgloss and eyeshadow , being super SUPER physical every play wit KD, making sure every foul committed brings pain , blowing on KD’s neck when he post up exc exc. smh i repeat KD CAN NOT play thru that type of shtt…He might get his Keys and drive home at the half. We
All seen KD in a couple Of playoff series shot under 40% , get swept, blow
3-1 leads, have trouble with the physicality , not live up to expectation, run away from adversity instead of overcome it right ? and no one guarding him in those times was anything like The Worm Dennis Rodman.
Bulls in 5
They forget about Toni kukoc
It’d be like an adult team vs high school kids.
Ron Harper guarding Steph tf yall talking bout
Tony kucoh
Who tf is going to guard MJ? Draymond ain't it but he's the only choice. MJ would average 40 in that series.
in 90s bulls would sweep them with all the rules. in today's game I give warriors 2 games.
Mj guarding steph yes. But steph is much faster and a ball handler at that plus shoots much faster and accurate at the same. It's no disrespect but the old timers always tend to discredit the current generation when asked if's, could'ves, would'ves when in reality, a game between those teams won't even happen. I mean they are always sure they'd beat em when these are only based on if's. They not playing anymore so they should stop with their bs. Just a topic to talk about at the end
Maybe a game, but I think it's a sweep 🧹🧹🧹🧹
Who's stopping Tony Kukoc 🤔
Randy Brown was a defensive specialist and would’ve gave good minutes checking Steph
Man stop every team they played in the 90’s finals took them to 6 and y’all think the 73 win team plus kd don’t at least win 2 minimum? GS in 6! Jordan avgs 37 tho
The 96' sonics won 2 in that series against those Bulls. So with that theory in place, you saying the Sonics were as good as the Kevin Durant Warriors?
Ill take that bet. #GoSonics
I don't see gsw winning 1
GSW player would all lose sleep worrying what Mike was about to do to them. They'd do about as well as the Jazz or the Suns did against the Bulls with MJ.
Someone should invent something to input stats so we can see the outcome. 😐
Rodman on Durant. Pippen and Jordan vs Stephen and Klay. Anybody can pick up Draymond on offense. Luc Longley will keep him busy. Kukoc is a problem. Iguodala is not the Sixers version at this pt. Bulls in 6. Cuz GSW will have 1 lights out night, and a close game win. MJ ain’t going on a Game 7.
4-2 just like 5 of 6 championships
Whose going to stop Jordan? Trust me he'd love to play against golden state defense and average 45 on 60 percent shooting at 33 years old. Prime Jordan would average 60 against golden state they could do nothing with him. That alone buries the warriors
