  1. Michael Bates was an Olympic bronze medalist in the 200m and was our kick returner from 1996-2000

  2. Brenton Bersin, second ever player from Wofford to play in the NFL, the first being then-owner Jerry Richardson

  3. Dante Rosario

Caught the game winning, walk-off touchdown in week 1 2008 against the San Diego Chargers

  4. Nate Salley ended up a hall of famer in one of my Madden 07 franchises.

    RIP to my PS2

  5. Jadeveon Clowney – one of the 12 NFL players from Rock Hill SC and the only Rock Hill native to play for the Panthers.

**Edit He was actually the second player from Rock Hill to play. Stephon Gilmore played one season in Carolina***

Side note: Rock Hill has produced 31 players that have played professional football, including the NFL (plus practice squads) and CFL

  6. Chris Weinke – in 2006, he threw for over 400 yards against the NY Giants after taking over for an injured Jake Delhomme. The following week, the Panthers ran the wildcat over 50 times with D’Angelo Williams taking most of the direct snaps. Coach John Fox claimed that Weinke had hurt ribs and couldn’t throw, but still kept him the game

  7. Kealoha Pilares: Kick Returner drafted in 2011 and the only player we’ve drafted from the University of Hawaii.

One of my favorites outside of Cam from that draft class!

  8. Mike Rucker. Another great Nebraska player. Played a great game in the nip-slip bowl.

  9. Ken Lucas, cornerback, also got in a fistfight with 89. He was damn decent for us too, Ken was

  10. Lamar Lathon. The ‘Pepper’ in our famous ‘Salt and Pepper’ linebacking core with Kevin Greene.

  11. Jarrod Cooper. Special Teamser/DB 2001-2003. Used to come into a now defunct bar I used to bounce at along with punter Todd Sauerbraun.
