Canucks vs. Bruins | NHL Highlights | December 20, 2025
wheels away from a Vander Kane playing
in his first season for the Canucks. Went to back-to-back Stanley Cup finals with
the Oilers. Makavoy post catches looking for the bumper tapped up top. Mackamoy
little screen. Geeky shoots. He scores. They used the delay, but then they moved the
puck up to Geeky wide. That got him in the end zone initially and twice they try to go to the
bumper and that forces the way Vancouver wants to defend. They got to be cognizant of it. They
defended well but what does it do? It opens up the flanks. It opens up the elbow and they set
up Geeki for the one-time quickly down low. Set up to Geeki. Lynholm walks out in front. Denied.
Bruins pull it out of there. Can they break down the penalty kill? Saucer fired and a stop made by
Lank on the one-time shot by Lindholm. A minute and a half remaining here in the first. Geeki with
a game’s only goal. Kiki swept it out in front. Jammed at Lome. Set it wide. Back door pass.
Didn’t connect. 24 seconds left in the period. Lyn Holm knocked down along the near side.
Over and send it out in front. They score. Max Sassen able to sneak one in short side and
the Conucks with 14 seconds left in the first have tied the game at one. Hard to believe this
is a one-1 hockey game right now. 13 seconds to go. Bruins got all kinds of bodies back. Lynhol
trying to make a play right here. Gets knocked down. Bruins can’t eat it. Nobody can manage to
get it. Assassin gets open in the slot area. Low slot on one side. catch and release before
Swayman can really get set and handle it. It was actually an injured reserve just
as the trade was consummated activated as this puck is deflected out in front. Carlson
shoots. He scores lane as Carlson snuck down the slot and flipped it by Swamman
and the Conucks in front two to one. relatively fresh ice, but the minute that puck
gets by Swayman and his attempt to get back, I mean, it’s a quick little simple play,
he can’t get in the passing lane. Nobody picks up Carlson on the net drive. I He’s
got a wide open net tap in bank to head to Post. Post across out in front. It’s fired
Lincoln. The stop. Oh, Laura had a clean look. Bruins win it. Lenome fires and it’s
shrugged off by Lincoln. Peak shoots, deflected Lincoln in the save. Rebound Lincoln
again. Oh, he’s feeling it. Posternach took that aerial pass. Dropped it up top. Lyn fell
down. Here’s De Brusk. He’s going to race it on a breakaway. Cuts to the slot. Shoots. Swing to
the stop. Oh, the Bruins needed that badly. Zaka to the middle and now here’s Middlestad working
against Meyers. Middlestad pulls up into the SLR. He put it right on Pablo Zaka’s tape. Fought
through the stick chip. Scuffed it home. Bruins two. Connects two. The Bruins defend well now.
Milstat has the puck. head up the whole way. Brings his check to him. He brings Tyler Meyers
to him. Puts on the brakes at the right time cuz he knows he has Zidorov coming late. The net
drive by Zaka who ends up being the goal scorer. Allows that play to develop. Middlestat with the
timing. Zidorov able to step to his right. Stays on his forehand side. Castelikov blocked
held in by Sodstrom. Castle accented this. How about the passing from this group and
Tanner Chino sizzles one home. Bruins three, connects two. The Bruins execute a threeon
two, but the shot’s going to be blocked. But Sodestrom puts the brakes on. No flybys. He
tracks the puck. Even though he was turning in the opposite direction, he recognizes he
can keep it in. And he makes a nice pass to Casselic to keep the play alive in the
offensive zone. Sassan left in the cage. Send it out in front. Swaming a great stop
out in front. A point blank opportunity by Bruins three. Connects two. Box rushes in.
Hits the brakes. Centered and Lincoln almost got fooled. Acim crashes in. And now the Conucks
put it back into the Bruins zone. Little room. Son up top. Heronic shoots. Blocked. Rebound.
They score. Something kind of like a broken play, but the Canucks stay with it. The one-time.
It’s going to get partially blocked. Deflects high up in the air. Swayman can’t track
it. It’s above his head. I think it was Val that got a piece of it when he went
down the block. and it just kind of pops up in the air. I’m just wondering how
Yeah, I’m wondering how if Patterson got. Oh yeah, he gets a glove on that. The call
now is no goal due to the glove. Yeah, I don’t even know if that’s a challengeable
offense, Jud. play only for another couple of seconds and then camp pops out of the box. Push
center across. Castle a canola pass. The pass just in escapes from Mackable. Look out here. Can
scoop it up. They score. Cleanest Carlson. He goes top shelf under the bar. His second of the night.
Ties the game at three. This game is unbelievable for Vancouver. They had the goal taken away,
but it was the right call. But this puck just kind of bounces in no man’s land and it’s a shot.
I don’t know if it ramps off the stick of Mackaoy or not. Carlson just if his release just took it
up that high. I couldn’t tell from any of those replays. Probably have to ask Swayman. But that
is crossbaring in. Gets that stick back. Besser bothering Mackoy out in front. Swim and a big stop
on Sherwood. Gabbras to the middle. Here it comes. They score. Liam Ogran deflected this one down and
in. And the Conucks jump in front. Four to three. Yeah. Quick discussion by the officials as to
where the tip occurred in terms of high stick or not. We got a look at it right off the face off.
The Bruss comes out high. They create the twoon one. and the Bruins have a breakdown in coverage
in that man-on man. When those break down and shots start coming through the net and you’re not
eliminating sticks in front of the net, those are mistakes that cost you. There’s the drive. There’s
the redirect. Clearly a good goal. Bruins create a turnover. They get a guy come out of the box.
It’s Makavoy. Pass wouldn’t land flat. Makavoy out in front. Turn. Shoots and a bump off a check.
Glory angles left, shoots. Lank in the stop. The rebound chopped. Zaka looking for peak. Lincoln
in the stop. Chopped at by Hanino. That was close. Campus. Lome took the hit. Niki.
Lome shoots. Deflected wide. Rebound. Peak shoots off the post. He scores Peak. Just a little snapshot with a little
bit of traffic in front of the net. Lankin can’t pick it up and it catches the iron
to his left and it comes off the post and catches the back part of the equipment of
Lincoln and it goes into the back of the net. Bruins get a nice break, but it was a
nice entry with speed. They attack the net. Everybody’s in the offense. He’s having
a problem with Geeki who steals. Makamoy walks in. Cooks blank in the same rebound. Blank in
the stop on Geeki. Garland’s got it. Look out here. Now William to the slot. Return feet.
Swimming. What a stop on that quick drive. He’ll wheel his way toward the slot. Shoots.
Sway to the stop. Here’s Besser with some speed. Shoots. Sway to the stop. And
now the Bruins a chance to win it. He’ll gather some speed. Angles his way back
to the middle. Shoots. Swaming with the left shoulder save. First career shootout attempt
for Andrew Peak. He’ll lug the mail over the line to the right circle. He goes, shoots.
Planking in the step. Wasn’t sure where it was. Had to spin around to grab it. This
time Pete comes in on his strong side, but he gets to the middle. Get the goalender
moving. Open up a hole. There was room over the net. Peak not high enough. Sherwood cuts
in lost the puck. Sway the stick save. Well, Swayan certainly doing his job
with the Bruins with the last shot. It’s on the stick of Mikey Asim. He’ll wheel
his way through the middle. Shoots Franken in a stick save. He shut the five hole. Acim
head up all the way. He’s looking for his spot. He tries to go five home. Evander Kane. He’ll chug
his way in. Walks in. Shoots. Swaming beat him. Low high. Swam again. Perfectly position. Liam Oren will step on. He had
a goal during regulation. He’ll cut to the slot. He scores. He’s able
to tuck it by Swayman. And now the Bruins need to score to extend it. That’s
a pretty move. Pretty lateral that move right there coming across the blue line.
Absolutely sells that shot. Sway was going to go wide right, settles, shoots in the stop.
And the Conucks come up with a victory tonight. They had to rally in the third
period and they have gone a perfect 4 and

2011 NHL Stanley Cup Final rematch
Swayman overrated overpaid
Vancouver had my heart racing in this game!
Hughes was so last year apparently…
First OT loser point!
🙄
That stunk.
So close
Ping!
Ping!
Stay in net Jeremy!
Next: Ottowa
Go Bears! 🐻
Hampus Lindholm is useless
Canucks vs Refs and the Canucks still won! You love to see it.
First 'pity loser point' for the Boston Bruins.
Sucks when you actually go to the game and witness their loss
Terrible commentators. Terrible refs. Terrible highlights, they missed quite a few
Yap, without a big name player, the team works harder together
John Shorthouse is THE WORST announcer ever…
Andrew Peeke needs to be benched. He is HORRIFIC in the D-Zone
Terrible commentators?? No way. What a relief to have no more of that Boston buffoon homer announcer that finally got yanked.
Jeremy swayman blows. Could you give up any softer goals then this guy does lol
We'll see how it goes, but, right now, whoever did this trade on the Canucks side looks like he got it 100%.
Bruins suck bad I don't care what anyone says
Bruins play hard when they feel like it….that was not tonight, looked like an AHL team allowing a bunch of garbage goals.
Good game Canucks, looks like that trade benefited both teams.
Finally, the best shootout replay in NHL history.
What a slick move by Ohgren in the shootout.
Results when you don't have to rely on one player!
Wild fan here to check on our boys. Way to go, Ohgren! I am so happy they are succeeding with the Canucks.
I'm a Bruins fan who was at this game. It was the most enjoyable a loss can possibly be! Was awesome to battle for the OT point, tying it very late. Surviving those late penalty kills. Doesn't hurt much to lose in a shootout, for some reason. Would have REALLY been hard to watch us lose in regulation after battling so hard. So many adrenaline pumping moments.
Ooooof. The Bruins announce team: every Bruin goal is a Stanley Cup winner.
Canucks have a better record than the jets at the moment
over all exciting game, I'm sadden for my boys but ill shake you're hand a drink a beer for the Canucks.
The kids are alright…
There is an issue with that officiating team. Blind mice? Three obvious Buins penalties that even the Bruins play-by-play could not understand why they were not called. Both goalies were good, the Nucks keeper in the shootout was a rock
I hope the hockey guy saw this
Don't think the Hughes trade mattered as much as Demko coming back. Canucks have always replied on great goal keeping to win
Why is Lankinen always out of position.
I love that ahl beat the bruins lol 😂😂
glad we could watch vancouver shootout highlights!
I swear every Bruin tried the same move on the shootout, but Lanky said no sir. And Ohgren said, hello miss daisy!
