Rich Eisen Rects to the Bears’ INSANE Comeback Win Over the Packers

Well, that sure was something. Holy crap. What did I just see? 16-6 with three minutes to go. Bears metriculate just enough to get a field goal. And when that field goal didn’t happen on the plus side of the two-minute warning and they had only a buck 59 left. I I I mean I thought the game was over then with that mistake and yet it forced them to go for an onside kick that worked. I’m wondering if they kicked the field goal on the plus side of the two-minute warning. Would they have kicked deep to Green Bay to get the ball back? Maybe. But that’s just part and parcel of how everything is working for the Chicago Bears this year. They go on side, they get it, they march down the field, they score it, they get the break on fourth down with Malik Willis not getting the snap properly and then man, that throw from Caleb Williams drifting to his left. drifting to his left. And you take a look at it. He He led DJ Moore. It was perfect. It was beautiful. It was majestic. It was a thing of destiny. And that’s what I think the Bears have to feel that they are right now. I know we had a game of the year. I called the game of the year on Thursday night. Rams and and the Seahawks. This one was equally as unbelievable. This rivalry means so much. Obviously, game 212 of this rivalry, including the playoffs. And the Bears now with 11 wins, they’re only a game behind the Seahawks, who play Carolina next. They’re a game in front of the Eagles, who they have a tiebreaker on. And if if they wind up tying the Seahawks going into the final week of the season, they could clinch against the Lions. And that’s how they’ve been on the Razers edge. There was a possibility if they they lost tonight and then lose the next week against San Francisco, they could have gone into that last week against the Lions potentially getting knocked out of the playoffs. instead they have a clear shot at the one seed and so do the NerS too. My goodness, that Niners Bears game. Everything’s just dawning on me right now. Um a Sunday night or next weekend on Sunday night football week 17 is monumental, huge. Every game feels huge now, but the Chicago Bears, they’ve I mean the euphoria in Soldier Field. I could feel it from my my office here in Los Angeles. Wow, that was unbelievable. Caleb was terrific in the first drive and that final two minutes, the drive down the field, having the entirety of the Green Bay defense blitz him. He threw to a spot, incredible throw. Brady called it, nailed it by saying it was a Steph Curry fadeaway. And then again, that that game-winning throw, just keep looking at it over and over and over again. What a dot, what a dime, what a strike. And Bears fans, you’ve got to be euphoric because Caleb has been 100%, you know, 100%. I mean, redeemed is too tough a word. It was just year one for him last year, but saved um molded, honed. He is dynamite. And the Bears just never quit. Never say die. Never quit. Never say die. And they got to feel destined. On to the rest of week 16. What a start. Holy crap. I told you Eagles fans to relax, too, didn’t I? But the Bears keep on pulling it out of their orifice and have to feel destined. Great run game, opportunistic defense, you know, and Packers fans have got to feel gutted right now. losing love, having having this ripped out of the jaws of victory. Man, what a game. Congrats, Bears fans. Feel great about yourselves. You should.

  1. It was reminiscent of some of the Joe Montana miracle games. I wouldn't put Caleb to that level, but he is certainly on his way and I think Ben Johnson deserves a lot of credit for what appears to be breaking the "Chicago, where QB's go to D**." curse. We'll see how the future progresses, but honestly, I don't care what happens the rest of this season, they have made my 60 year fandom heart three times bigger, just in time for Christmas! To beat Greenbay, in Chicago, primetime, the way they did, was pretty epic. Sure a 30 – 0 thrashing would have been nice, but I'll take it! 🎉🎉

  2. This game is the 6th game this season (2025) that Bears have won in dramatic fashion. Bears fans will be celebrating this victory — especially since it was against the Packers — for decades to come. How many more dramatic wins can Bears fans handle???

  3. Steelers fan here, honestly awesome to see Chi town actually looking like a team. Over my first 30 I’ve never seen the Bears actually being contenders. With Caleb as their guy he brings a level of stability that could bring years of being competitive for the Bears. I wish for every fanbase to have those types of seasons where you got a great qb and are in the gauntlet by the end of the year. Special memories are made during those times. I still watch Steelers & Penguins highlights of their championship runs over the last couple decades to this day!

  4. Onside kicks are Green Bay's kryptonite. Who can forget their 2014 NFC Championship against Seattle, which out-crazied both this and Thursday night's game. The ghost of Brian Bostick!

  5. even before Jordan Love went out, the Packers had the ball for around 90% of the 1st half, and all they were doing was scoring field goals. whats crazy about that is the fact that the bears defense isnt a shut down defense, yet the packers werent doing much. The bears also didnt prepare for the Packers back up QB (and it showed). Packers really shot themselves in the foot early in the game. The Packers havent had a "dynamic" offense in years. even before Kraft was hurt, there were people saying Matt should be fired because their offense looked mid (despite them playing only 1 good team all szn – Lions). btw, DJ Moore got payback against Nixon for that unnecessary push in the back early in the game – thats for sure. the fact that Caleb was about to throw a accurate 50+ yard pass in the wind was amazing as well

  6. Santos by far the game changer. 3 40+ field goals into that wind, a great onside kick and hitting the extra point to tie it in the 4th quarter he was money. I wore my Gould jersey tonight and Santos beared down like Gould would have

  7. Caleb made a great throw there but he has a long way to go to stardom. His situational throws can look like he doesn’t belong on the field. He on the right path but his development is still very early in the process. He’s got a load of raw ability.

  8. Thank you Rich. My family and I are ecstatic. I go back to Mike Phipps as the QB and Neill Armstrong as the coach in ‘79.

This team is so damn fun to watch. I think it might be my favorite bears team. That’s saying a lot. 🤌

  9. …Bears are slipping in every back door that happens upon them. Their schedule might be the worst in NFL. Their defense is very porous. I don’t remember Green Bay ever punting in the game.

  10. You know the Packers didn't have their starting QB for like more than half the game or whatever, right? The Bears didn't beat the Packers they beat the Packers second unit. Not a fan of either team but thats not a legit win. No to mention what it took just to get by Second string team. Not a legit win

  11. Rich they got every lucky break imaginable and still shouldn't have won AGAINST 2ND AND 3RD STRING EVERYWHERE on the field for the Packers. I'm not a fan of either team, you cannot seriously count this a legit win dude. Earth to Rich!?!?!? How many injuries did the Packers have going into and during this game. Thats not even close to a fair even strength win homie. Hellllloooooooo wake up. Packers didn't have their QB 2 receivers, a kicker, 2 linebackers 1 cb 2 lineman. Dude

  12. any starting QB in the league goes out- you have to think the game is different

Loves goes out- bears played amazing

it's ok rich i jerry signs your check likw everyone else

anything to make small market GB look bad
