Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson on Knicks’ 116-107 loss to Sixers
We got to hold each other to a higher standard. I got to hold myself to a higher standard. And um >> it’s not like >> um we got blown out tonight. It was very winnable, but you got to give them credit. They make plays on the stretch and we didn’t. And um >> yeah, it no to answer your question. No. >> Gotcha. Um in terms of Mitch and free throw shooting, just obviously a rough go at it for the first leg of the season as an idiot. Seven out of eight today. just what what have you seen from his work behind the scenes as allowed to to have the night that he had today? >> Yeah, he’s he’s working. He’s uh concentrating and um you seeing the progress from his work and uh he’s going to continue to work and um get better at it and it’s just uh [snorts] very happy for him, very proud of him and um just going to continue it. >> How much of a differencemaker is Mitch when he’s firing on all cylinders when you have a quieter night for guys like OG and Josh? >> Yeah, it’s it’s very very important. Um Mitch is uh going to be impactful whether the ball is going in for him or not. And uh that’s who he is as a player. That’s who he is as a teammate. And um he’s going to find ways to impact the game. And um then when that when that’s happening for us as well and um we got to capitalize and um try and win games. >> What kind of look does uh Jordan Clarkson provide this team when he comes in? >> Um yeah, immediate spark. Uh immediate um just offensive presence. um playing really well defensively as well and um what he’s been able to do for us so far this season has been tremendous and um that’s just who he is for as long as I known him. That’s the type of person and player he’s brought to his teams that he’s been on and so um I’m very happy he’s here. >> Jaylen Bj made a lot of winning plays late obviously first trip to the garden as a pro. What are your what are your impressions of him generally? And then when a young guy comes in and does that, how impressive is that? >> Yeah. Um he’s great and um I think we saw that even in preeason and so that he was going to be a force to reckon with force to be reckoned with and um yeah, he’s just he’s always in attack mode and um in the plays he made at the end of the game. um he looked very comfortable, looked very uh confident and um you never see that. You never see a lack of confidence from him and so uh it’s uh it’s great to see from uh just from a basketball standpoint, but obviously when you’re competing against him, you just um you hope he don’t he doesn’t make those plays, but um got a lot of respect for him. >> How does the body feel right now? >> Tired. >> Hurting. Is it? Is it is it it’s got to be at least emotional challenge. You come off the game Tuesday, it was fun celebrating, but right away got to get right back to the season back to back. >> Yeah, man. We knew, you know, I you know, we weren’t really looking too far ahead. So, you know, we didn’t realize how challenging obviously getting to, you know, that that obviously final game of the cup and then going right into a back to back and then [snorts] um an earlier game on Sunday. So, uh, we knew it’ll be a a challenge. Um, so we just got to make sure we get our, uh, bodies right. Um, you know, and get some sleep, you know, get some good food and, um, try to get back on Sunday. >> You guys are obviously a big no excuse team, but do you give yourselves grace in a moment like this, or you have this big run and then game after game after game with no real break in between? >> Yeah, I mean, you always got to give yourself, you know, some type of grace. um you [snorts] know what their what their their last game was you know probably five or six days ago. Um you know [snorts] so you know you always got to give yourself grace. It’s a up and down season. Um there going to be games like this games where you feel like you can’t you know you can’t find it you know where the game’s right there and it’s just you know one extra effort play and you feel like you can’t get that extra effort play in. So um but you know it it happens. Uh you know it’s a long season. Did you say anything important to Mitch before he hit seven out of eight? >> I didn’t say a damn thing to him. So, he’s he’s been he’s been working, you know, going early, getting shots up, staying late, getting, you know, free throws and those kind of things. So, you know, his hard work’s paying off. >> Can you tell the difference in his shot? Like, can you tell >> Hey, man. That’s I I just see it going in, bro. That’s all that’s all that’s all the difference for me. >> Have you ever seen free throws of that much like the crowd react the way they do to just free throws? Never been that exciting. >> No, not not not that many. Obviously, you know, you see like >> and one or something at the end of a game. You see something like that, you know, that’s like a more of a oneoff kind of thing, you know, >> but not in the second quarter. >> Not in the second quarter. Uh, but, you know, we love it. >> What do you think about the way, and this is a bigger picture question, not just about tonight, but the way that Jordan Clarkson kind of just comes in and is able to provide like reliable minutes off the bench with a lead score for you guys and he’s really accepted that role. Yeah, you know, he’s accepted that role and also accepted um and embraced the defensive side of the ball and trying to be more physical and um more disruptive on the defensive end. So, um you know, we we need him. Um that’s why he’s here. Um I know his body is a little sore the last couple games, you know, we’ve been trying to get um playing a little bit more minutes, you know, so um uh but it but it’s great, man. It’s great to see him, you know, uh um you know, hoop. What do you what do you think of Edge going as a >> He’s good obviously, man. He He’s good. Um super athletic, aggressive. Um he’ll be really good. >> What’s the process been like just trying to find your strength this week? >> Uh yeah, we’ve been working a lot of arc on the free throws. So, um we went in there this morning, actually, like 10:00 a.m. early, but um it paid off tonight. So, >> you know, I guess we’re going to put that in the routine now. >> How big of a difference is it from, I guess, the way you’ve traditionally shot shot free throws? >> I feel way more comfortable. um you know getting my um elbow up under it, getting it up in the air a little more. Um yeah, it’s been it’s been great. >> Play with 26 minutes to land a 21 point double double. Just what was working for you today? >> Uh just the energy my teammates um you know they penetrating and stuff like that. So I’m just trying to you know help there. >> You get a little something extra out of it too when you know they’re purposely fouling you. You knock them both down. I saw one time you did point to Nick after made a free throw. >> Yeah. I’m trying to stop everybody from doing that happening, you know? So, that’s kind of like the main goal because I want to be able to play the fourth quarter, you know what I mean? Um, longer I’m out there, more I can help my teammates, you know? >> Is there when you rebound, especially on the offensive glass, is there anything you’re thinking about or is it strictly just an instinct and you rebound? >> To me, it just helped my teammates like help my team. Um, more possession we have, you know, just help us have a better chance of winning. Kind of showed tonight. I mean, we didn’t win, but it was real close, you know. But what makes you so good at it? >> Just energy and effort, you know, just trying to get it done. >> It had been, I think, since the Eastern Conference Finals last year, uh, well, a couple months ago that you had made two straight free throws and you did it a couple times. So, just number one, is it frustrating to go that long without converting at the line? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That um I was talking to myself about that. I’m like, when I’m going to make two in a row, I would make one, miss one. I’m like, and then the night, you know, two for two and there. Did it feel like you were in a zone out there when the majority of your shots are falling? >> Yeah. [snorts] Um, felt great, [clears throat] you know. Um, you know, but don’t really mean too much cuz we lost. So,
New York Knicks Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson reacted to the team’s 116-107 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Brunson said the schedule is no excuse for the loss, while Hart said it’s been a “challenging” stretch for the team. Robinson talked about the work he is doing to improve his free-throw shooting.

I wonder how much the Josh and JV thumbs up situation will affect the team moving forward team chemistry seemed off today. Obviously the schedule made it worse.
I'm surprised N.Y. beat Indiana yesterday so i'm not too surprised they ran outta gas against Philadelphia.
The Schedule beat the KNICKS
ππΎ in the π broke his shot
Good. San. Antonio. Souid. Have. Won. The. Cup.
they definitely looked tired. Too bad for Robinson, he had a great game.

NO MORE EXCUSES
THEY SHOULD ALWAYS PLAY 100%

NOT ACCEPTABLE
Be a grown man stand up not sitting down
Brunson, can you at the very least look the reporters in the eye. Please, stop foul hunting, flopping, flailing, collapsing and groveling for calls, all while your teamates are hustling back on defense. Oh yeah, stop with the waterboy defense, always taking the path of least resistance. This confuses your teammates as they haven't a clue as to who your NOT going to guard. If not, consider packing for Milwaukee, as were going to start playing some pretty good teams soon.
VJ cooked yaβll

your friendly Philly troll is heeere- F the Knicks. Lol just kidding. Revenge for getting swept last year (although we were a mess) and the playoffs the year before
Iβm here during the good and here through the down moments. No excuses. Credit to the Sixers. Weβll get them next time.
"No excuses" yall need to shut up. They're answering the questions they were asked. They can't win every game. Philly has been a good squad without Embiid all season. I'm not surprised this was a loss. Yes, they still could've won but it is what it is. Look forward to the next game.
Brown needs to go to his bench a lot sooner when the starters are stinking it up as they did tonight.
Mitch was BALLIN' – shame the schedule penalizes the NBA Cup winner but ce la vie – squad was out of gas…onward
Love Big Mitch fan from day 1
Yeah Brunson hold yourself accountable stop flopping every possession
Iβd like to listen to Josh Hart talk about basketball after he retires too.
Itβs a okay Knicks canβt win every game
