Jack Hughes Back? Devils Coach Says Team Could “Get Some Bodies Back” For Buffalo Game

Meier is back- he was put on the roster. Gritsyuk is suspected to be back or near back.
Jack is supposed to be re evaluated early next week, so likely not
We will start tearing teams up again. Real soon.

I don’t expect Jack to be back until the Caps game or even Toronto based on what we’ve been hearing.
So I am not in any way saying this is *going to* happen. Because that would be a jinx.
But it would be cool if the Devils got everyone back. And they were all tanned, rested, and ready when the rest of the league is exhausted. And they went on a total rip and rode that shit all the way to the Cup.
Yup, that would be cool indeed.
I was speculating it might be him but I misunderstood how long a player was required to be on IR. My money is on Gritsyuk which is a good thing.
That said, Pesce is the bigger add. What a major piece.

I think we get Meier (confirmed) and Grits back. Jack back next Saturday is my guess as long as his check up looks good. Nemo prob back after the new year
Jack is checking in with a doctor this week, I’d assume Monday. Best case scenario is we get him back for Saturday against the caps. The other body we get back will be Grits or Nemec, both have indicated themselves their injuries aren’t bad and expect to be back soon
If I were Jack and Tate McRae was nursing me back to health I wouldn’t be back until August minimum.
Any two of Jack, Meier, Gritsyuk, and Nemec being back makes the team immediately better.
