Surprised he lasted 17 years, especially with 3 different GM turnovers.
Wishing him luck but I gotta say I don’t mind him leaving. Flynn always seemed like an odd bird whenever he appeared in a Behind the Battle.
I wonder if Buffalo would be in the market for a veteran goaltender 😉
Team success aside, I was able to meet and talk to Josh a bit at Whistle and Keg before a Crew game this past season. He was pretty chill, told me about some more of the behind the scenes of working with Jarmo and signing Johnny, which he didn’t need to do but left a good impression on me as a fan. Hope that he does well in Buffalo!
The blind shall lead the blind
I’m totally fine with this.
Considering half of y’all want the entire organization burnt to the ground there you should be cheering that news. 17 year cap expert leaving so probably does the computer guys and siren ville next summer after the draft.
Congrats you all got your wish all your long time experts are leaving to Buffalo for Jarmo.
Jesus imagine moving to buffalo 🤢
Best of luck but I’m not too mad about this.
lol Buffalo 😆
> We also have to realize that Bergevin isn’t in charge, Jarmo is. GMJK surrounding himself with legitimate hockey minds is a good thing. Flynn and Bergevin will be assets to JK’s vision. We will become a legitimate hockey team by the end of this season.
i can’t believe people are dumb enough to think that “guy who runs the cap” somehow equals “guy who decides how much money the players get”
josh flynn is great and this is a big loss.
for all the “he was here for a while and the team wasn’t good” people — guess what, it was the same story when macfarland and zito left.
Josh will always be part of the CBJ. We thank him for his service, just like I’d say for Jarmo. That said, peace out my guy!!!
Turnover up top and in the coaching staff is 100% needed. Definition of insanity rules, right? The success we had last year in the wake of 13 was heart-warming and set us back 2 years. Clean house of anyone that influenced player personnel, scouting, or coaching from pre-Don/Dean please. We love them. We all need a new start.
17 years? Time to go. Anyone around for that long with CBJ gotta go.
He’s done good for the organization as a whole, but I think this is mutually beneficial for both parties.
He’s also a big Jarmo guy. Makes sense.
TIL I always thought Flynn was Priest when I saw him.
