CONCERN: Miami Heat REELING as Bam Adebayo SLUMP, Kel’el Ware RISE Sparks Questions | Heat Podcast

Miami Heat stumble against the New York Knicks as Jalen Brunson’s near 50-point explosion exposes the team’s need for a reliable closer. Can Tyler Herro’s return reignite Miami’s offense, or will Bam Adebayo’s recent regression prove costly? Bam’s scoring struggles paired with injury speculation have raised serious questions, while Kel’el Ware’s breakout performances—posting 28 points and 19 rebounds against New York—bring a silver lining and a potential shake-up to the lineup.

Wes Goldberg and David Ramil break down the Heat’s 1-2 road trip, analyzing defensive lapses, missed opportunities, and the impact of Herro’s absence. Key topics include Bam’s evolving role, Ware’s ascent and fit, and the Heat’s three-point shooting resurgence. The conversation heats up with trade rumors, Giannis scenarios, and a look ahead to winnable matchups. Will the Heat find consistency and climb the Eastern Conference standings?

  1. Giving bam over the last 6 years the feeling of being the only untradeable player on the team is the worst decision the heat has ever made. We have built around a sub par player on offense. You can’t win building around Joel Anthony!!

  2. I strongly believe Bams playing awful cus he wants to get traded. I think he gave up last year and its been the same since, cant defend him anymore, trade for Giannis at this point i dont care.

  3. So Bam. Tyler and Norm aren't franchise players?

It's almost like this franchise should be tanking for a top pick!

Look how that worked out for OKC, Houston, SA and Boston…

  4. The Heat won’t win a championship for the foreseeable future because they’re content with being in the middle, too afraid to tear things down to build it back up. Any other franchise would be looking to trade Bam, Tyler, Norm and Wiggins for assets

  5. I hate having to say nice things about the Celtics but they always had two number one options on that team. That's why they are surviving. We have a team of 2's and 3's.

  6. We need to address the coaching. Ware never is to come off the bench again. Small ball is dead and only this coach plays it. Look at our record. Does it work?

  7. you might as well offer bam to teams for a trade. you'll probably get a lot more for him than tyler or anyone else. this team very much goes as the team captain goes. any adversity and he and the team folds. brilliant idea to max him. i know you want to be loyal but c'mon. not being able to rely on your max player. having to bench him? that's ridiculous. you know im starting to think spo was benching ware just so HE WOULDN"T EMBARRASS BAM TOO MUCH!

  8. They will not win until they have a number 1 scorer. This is very complicated. Instead of fontechio driving to the basket, it will be your number 1 taking over the game lmao

  9. I'd rather just rebuild at this point man. I'm kinda just done with staying in the middle of the conference and hoping that a star will come here. I would not trade all of our assets just to get Giannis and have no depth at that point. I like Bam, Herro, Powell, and Wiggs, but I think it's time to just move on. Trade them all and get as much assets as possible and let's just rebuild and find our franchise guy in the draft. Build around them, Kel'el, Kas, Jaime, Pelle, etc. I'd rather buy in to the young core than buy in to compete now and hope that we're good enough.

I know it's not going to happen though cause we seem to be content with staying the exact same.

  10. Bam and Tyler are Privileged by Spo at this point. Let’s work a trade for Giannis including Bam and Herro. The Bucks won’t get a better offer than that and we can keep our draft picks and keep our youth movement!

  11. Bam is an incredible player, an incredible defender. He does a lot on the court… sometimes he's asked to do too much. With that said, what hurts Bam is that contract. As good as he is, giving him a max deal was a mistake. A mistake that can hurt this franchise in the long run because if you're trying to get a #1, that player will also want max dollars. Ware is 21… Kas is 19… maybe you reset and start young? If you can't get Giannis, blow it up and get draft picks

  12. Heat fans; Good afternoon and Happy Holidays! During the Boston game, White Mamba (Brian Scalabrine) hit the nail directly on its' head. Bam should be much Better than what he's exhibiting. The team is cooked, it's time to reset the entire organization starting with Riley. His inability to land "stars" speaks volumes to where this team has landed over the past ten season. I know, folks will potentially claim Jimmy as a "star" which he never has been (Chicago or Minn). So we'll be back in the play-in-tournament once again for the third/fourth consecutive season. The fan based deserves BETTER than what this team is giving. Keep Ware and JJ; everyone else is trade bait, Spo and the staff INCLUDED!!!!

  13. Dennis Rodman was 6'7" and 210 lbs. He had four seasons where he averaged over 16 rebounds a game, and two of those he averaged over 18. He blocked shots. He won DPOY twice I think. Bam, at 6'9" and 260 lbs. can't even average over 10 rebounds. Why? Because he REFUSES TO. Rebounding is a mindset. I DGAF if he can guard 1-5. That's NOT what we need from him. He thinks he deserves the DPOY just because he can guard smaller players? That's not how it works. A player needs to DOMINATE defensively and make an impact day in and day out. I really thought he finally got it when he he had 19 rebounds 3 games ago. But nope. Same old Bam.

  14. Giannis doesn't get to decide who Miami trades for him. He said he wants the sun and a big market. He said nothing about wanting to play with Bam.

  15. Wes you act like a groupie fawning over stars for what they've done in the past, if they're present play doesn't match their previous play when they were voted to the All-Star team, then they're not Stars anymore. Bam is on a down trajectory and Ware is on a ascending trajectory. Sure I don't think Ware is a 50% three-point shooter but he's a top 10 rebounder even with limited minutes. I don't think we can question that and if he's not a 50% three-point shooter, I would say he's at least a 41 or 42 percent 3-point shooter which is great for a big man and I don't think that's changing anytime soon except getting better. That percentage is better than Wemby's. Ware is clearly a better 3 pt shooter and isn't that far behind as a rebounder with less minutes. You can probably argue that per minute he's the best rebounder in the NBA.

And David don't back down to this guy still stay professional and everything cuz he's kind of young he thinks he knows everything but stick to your guns right now where is headed to be a better player than what band is his defense on five spots is not an excuse anymore for his lack of offensive prowess. But we're both in agreement that Giannis will most likely choose to play with Bam because he's a veteran and he knows him and so and so and so forth, but it doesn't mean that that's the right choice. And no, it doesn't mean that's because Bam is a star now, because he's not playing like one, it will be because of what Bam has done in the past not what he's currently now doing. Bam is NOT the better player in this instance.

  16. Kelel isn’t putting all star numbers because he isn’t getting all star minutes lol. Give him a consistent starting role (without spo randomly hardly playing him and stunting his growth and confidence) and 30+ minutes a night, and he is easily an 18 and 12 player.

  17. This dude take: “the Knicks didn’t win this game, Heat lost it.” Man, STHU. Your team lost. Ban stinks, Miami’s defense stinks. Powell is good, but not a closer. Accept the L and shut up.

  18. So tired of Bam's inconsistence. Theres always an excuse for him. He is what he is. A 3rd option. He's been showing us that for years. As fans we just keep waiting for it to be the year that he can be more. Not going to happen.
