[Schefter] No Suspensions from Saturday’s altercation between the Eagles and Commanders

Great news!
I genuinely do not understand what was “controversial” about going for two in the first place. We were trying to put the game to bed to go up 19. And force the Commanders to score two touchdowns, convert two two point conversions, and kick a field goal to tie the game. And they ended up scoring a touchdown, converting the two point conversions, making it an 11 point game, and kicking an onside kick to try and get the ball back. A lot of folks were acting like we went for two up 30. We not only blew big leads against the Broncos and Cowboys. But we were playing to clinch the division and guarantee a playoff spot. It’s not our fault that Quinn turtled up early when his 4-10 team had absolutely nothing to lose going for it. Likewise, did people not see the Bears-Packers ending. It was a 99% win probability for the Packers up 16-6 yet they lost. And it’s completely messed up their 2 seed chances. It never ceases to amaze me how often people get sucked into rage bait instead of thinking critically. Going for two was the correct decision.

If you remove another person’s helmet during an altercation, that should be an automatic ejection/fine
Wild that #20 doesn’t get one for ripping off Steen’s helmet.
There’s already enough suspense ahead of the rematch according to Dan Quinn
Saquon made contact with a ref…swatting the refs hands away…Eagles and us fans lucked tf out on that one cause that’s normally an automatic suspension.
Little shocked TBH. I think they’ve suspended for less.
Open hand slaps and getting jumped by half the Commanders roster really doing work for Steen rn. Surprised no suspension for the guy who yanked his helmet off tbh.
Wild to me that someone can rip off another players helmet in the middle of the fight and not get ejected.

The biggest winner out of all of this is Steen, no suspension and now everyone knows he stays ready.

On DK Metcalf being suspended, does anyone remember a Bills player shoving Eagles fans in the stands yelling at him behind their bench and nothing happened to him?
There shouldn’t be. Tossing the players seemed right. I’ve never seen the breakdown of the 2 Commanders, but certainly at least someone deserved it along with Steen.
I wonder if they’re getting off lighter because Metcalf pushed/swung at a fan.
