Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Walter Nolen III’s rookie season is over after suffering a knee injury Sunday, head coach Jonathan Gannon said.
It’s the third injury Nolen has picked up since joining the franchise as the No. 16 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Arizona’s defensive line could look a whole lot different by the time he comes back, too.
While starters Dalvin Tomlinson and Darius Robinson are expected to return next year, plus rotational piece Dante Stills, Calais Campbell could be hanging it up for good after this season.
Add in the potential of Nolen missing time next year, and Arizona’s defensive line suddenly needs some work.

First off hoping for a smooth recovery.
Secondly, was there injury concerns for him coming out of college? This FO seems to love to pick guys who have injury concerns (Will Johnson, Garrett Williams, Nolen) but we can’t keep anyone healthy.
If Monti stays (and I think he will), they need to adjust their scouting and draft board to penalize injury history more because it’s no good having all these super high upside players if they are never all on the field together.
Nolan and Campbell are gone?! This is sad.
Off topic… I want to know why the “(knee)” is before the “III” in his name in the title. Is that proper form? Genuinely asking
Who?
This team stinks on ice.
Sigh
Good thing I’ve been on vacation
Time to fire this training staff. Enough is enough.
