[Gambatese] Jack Hughes Returns, Devils Fall 3-1 to Sabres at Home

  1. > The fourth line is simply unplayable. Luke Glendening’s 11.59% xGF% was easily the worst on the team, though Stefan Noesen (30.15%) and Paul Cotter (31.25%) were second and third worst. My hunch, given prior data and my own eyes, is that Glendening is the main perpetrator here. Adding another center into the organization would be a godsend, simply because Glass would slide down into that 4C role. Hell, Marc McLaughlin has been practicing in a regular jersey, and I doubt he can be worse than Glendening at this point. Something’s got to give, though, because the Devils getting hemmed in for eight minutes a game consistently isn’t working.

Glendening is literally a bottom 10 player in terms of net rating in the entire NHL. Anybody that gets on a line with him turns to shit. Need McLaughlin at 4C or to find an answer outside the org.

  2. Well all know how much needed a reliable good 2way 3C that can slot in as 2C would be for us since 2 years now. Our GM does not see this the same way.
