  1. Great dose of reality at the end there. This team can't even get the bench pieces they want. Just like I and many others thought right after the season, this team is going to run it back with 95% the same team. This team is infuriating

  2. So glad people are starting to realize Tucker isn't worth a $400M or even $300M contract. He needs other stars on the team he plays on to take the spotlight.

  3. i honestly don’t see why we shouldn’t bring back tucker. we have the money. spend it on the guy that’s been there and continue what you couldn’t bc of injuries.

  4. In order for Kyle Tucker to return to the Chicago Cubs Theo Epstein would have to be in that front office if Theo Epstein was in that front office he would be yelling at the top of his lungs Ricketts saying we just won 92 games and you want to disband this team. Do you wanna win or are you just in it for the money if you’re just in it for the money, then I’m gonna walk because I’m not in here to satisfy you. I’m here to satisfy the fans. The fans are the ones that pay our salary.

  5. All these what if trades are great, but if they don't get a real closer for these 1 run games, Cubs are done. closer by committee never good enough in the playoffs .Dodgers had that
because of injury , unless that pitcher got really hot, Toronto is winning the WS.

  6. Sam Id rather go after Belli alot better fit character right for the Cubs ,why the Cubs didn't sign him then, but you know why Ricketts cheap doesn't want to spend any money .This organization thinks they will win with rookies not going to happen. 😅Great show .It's Christmas vacation we won't hear anything till after New Year and yeah fire that idiot .

  7. Tucker was there for two reasons only 1. Trading for Tucker and giving away Bellinger saved money for the front office and Tom.
    2. Jed didn’t have his extension yet.

    That’s it.

  8. Tucker shouldn't have acted so lackadaisically while with the Cubs and then maybe there'd be more buzz. He showed us (at least me) that he didn't want to be in Chicago. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, whichever you celebrate…to Matt, Sam and all of the Every Dayers! Proud to be with you all. Go Cubs! 🥰

  9. Tucker should sign a 1 or 2 year contract in a place like Houston. Then, if he performs well, he’ll get that big contract. I don’t think it’s the Cubs he doesn’t like, I think he doesn’t like playing at Wrigley.

  10. Like I said at start of free agency, Tucker market is not good! But never thought was that bad!
Yankees are not a good fit that Judge is playing RF. He can move to DH, but that’s does not fix their need at other OF positions.
Mets has Soto at RF, adding him is also not ideal fit, that you need to move other people around!
    Phillies are out now.
Red Sox are not a fit with so many young promising OFs.
Giants need is not another superstar bat. And they also don’t have money to pay him and add top pitching needs.
Jays are on him but if no deal so far, means the deal is not that great.
Dodgers are on the list, but short term.
So basically only two teams right now and one team treat him as back up of Bichette OR low ball number! Another is short term deal!
Cubs also willing to do short term I think or a long term low total deal with multiple opt outs!
Next year FA class is not nearly as good as this year.

  11. Bears can lose first round or win 2-Super Bowl in this year’s playoff teams.
All those teams have flaws and unconvincing parts.
Bears injury is the major x-factor! If Gordon, C.J can play, the secondary will be scary!
If all LBs are healthy, they can shut down the run game.
If all receivers are healthy, no one can stop Caleb!
If only half of them are healthy, we have a chance! So Sam’s 20% win is low, I would say 60% chance to beat Packers if they stay at 2 seed, and 50/50 against RAMs, and the rest of the way!

  12. Reading these comments made me realize that most of yall don’t follow anything outside of the cubs, and don’t have an understanding for the rest of MLB

  13. What good is "maximum flexibility" if they never outbid anyone? There are a bunch of guys whose contracts are up after 2026. To get those guys back OR sign their replacements, they are going to have to bid against every other team. Let's take Happ as an example. We'll even assume best-case scenario–Caissie is an above-average OF. The Cubs that is supposedly in contention will still be a starting OFer short, with none in the organization for 2027. Are they going to have to compete to 4yrs/80M that the other teams will offer? Same goes for Hoerner, who will be gone or making top dollar. And for a team that already acknowledges they are a missing a top of the rotation starter, they are going to need that ace AND replacements for Taillon, Imanaga, and Boyd? The farm system has been depleted to the point that when Caissie, Ballesteros, and Wiggins graduate, this is going to be a bottom 10 system in MLB. What window they have is going to slam shut by 2028.

  14. I could see Tucker taking a 5Y175M deal that had opt outs after years 1 and 2, paying him 40M per those first two years.

As for trust, I'm at an 8 because they haven't hidden who they are and how they work. If you've been let down by the Cubs, that's your fault for thinking they'll change. They've run this way forever.

  15. Don't want Tucker. He seemed lost in RF at Wrigley. His tenure with the Cubs was disappointing and he has no gravitas, no excitement. He'll demand too much money

  16. Happ and Tucker could take the same flight out would rather see Bellinger back and play left or right!!! Merry Christmas to both of you and all the everydayers !!!!!Be safe and happy!!!

  17. Tucker is great player, great player, but he’s injured often and not considered a ball club leader he wants the top tier pay but doesn’t do it “all”, the money includes brand ambassador, helping team mates, staying healthy and putting up numbers. He’s the type that puts up number when healthy the rest is questionable

  18. When he's healthy he is tricky because he walks so much…even when hes not hitting the ball hard, he'll go 1 for 4 with a walk and a single, the walks always save the average.
