  1. He's saying that zeev buium is such a valued prospect that without him… no package would have likely triggered the trade for Hughes. He's implying the value that Buium is viewed w by league GMs is higher than most realize.

  2. They have to label Zeev the return because Rossi isn't going to accomplish anything. Even during those hollow 4 post-Quinn wins, he did nothing while getting primo minutes.
    As for the if-then blabbering, that rings hollow as well from a Canucks perspective, because 'if' they had merely drafted anyone of worth since Quinn was picked, 'then' he might have actually stuck around as the team would automatically have remained more competitive than the embarrassment they are now. 'If' Pettersson wasn't re-signed to that mammoth deal reserved for cup-winners 'then' the Canucks might have remained more competitive than they are now, especially considering Petey's performance immediately cratered upon re-signing. Plently if in-house if thens to consider before gobbledygook about Anaheim, who's just rebuilt their team properly and are now excelling.

  4. Uh…if anything, it's the Philadelphia Flyers that helped the trade if Buium was the key to the trade… Wild swapped positions (12/13) with Flyers because Judd Bracket was so high on Buium realised they had a chance, so Billy G sent a 2025 third-round to ensure getting him.
