This roster was flawed before the Luka trade but it’s been greatly exacerbated since losing Max and AD. The Starters don’t have any reliable stoppers and the bench has stoppers who can’t score.
The greatness Luka, AR and Bron have hidden a lot but if one or more has an off night it’s a loss.

I’d believe this BS if he actually used a variety of players to fill the gaps since there has been numerous injuries but no he sticks to “guys in his foxhole”. He can go back to podcasting if development is not one of his priorities.
extremely top heavy roster and guys like Gabe, DK, Kleber, NSJ, Vando are just absolute negatives who contribute nothing that make it so much harder when injuries to the main guys stack up
Even last season he told the media we don’t have “lockdown defenders” and that we had to rely on collective effort to have a chance.
I’m sure he knows the personnel has to catch up to his vision eventually.

I believe the day we were almost 30 pts ahead in a back to back situation and JJ didn’t pull our starters he lost the team. The guys stopped playing hard when they got the margin, looked at the bench and JJ kept them. In the post game interview he assumed he was still insecure about the season and that isn’t going to fair well to veterans.
When LeBron and Gabe came back and he started playing favorites it got worse.
I don’t think we were contenders starting the season, but the team was much better than it is now.
Bottom line: this team is extremely flawed, with a few bright spots. I trust new ownership will develop and execute a real plan to make this a championship caliber roster over the next 3 to 5 years. No more house flipper mentality of the Buss family and Pelinka- putting new marble floors and appliances in a home with a rotting foundation and damaged roof. This team needs a real overhaul for any shot at sustainable greatness. It might be ugly for a year or two to get there but demolition and rebuild needs to start.
I love how blunt JJ is. I prefer this over the soft ass coaches that don’t wanna hurt the feelings of their super stars

I’m not the type of person to doom here, and have actively spoken out against the brain dead lakers fans who want to blow it up every time we lose, but everyone outside of Luka/Bron/Reaves/Ayton/Rui need to be on the chopping block and I would not be sad to see them traded. There is absolute no urgency on this bench and it shows with how our bench is amongst the worst in the league. I don’t know what we’d get back dealing all these negative assets, but with how bad they are, the only way we can go is up.
Man I so loved have Trey Jemison and Goodwin, they brought a different motor to the team. Happy though that atleast Goodwin is on a good team.

Team is giving up lot of open 3s because they aren’t fast enough to rotate and can’t stop dribble penetration. Our offense is pretty much winning us games. One defensive guy isn’t going to solve the major team issues. Team needs a major roster shakeup in the offseason.
I think there is a going to be movement now roster-wise before the trade deadline.

Well that much has been obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes during these past 30 games. We have a bunch of low motor, little effort and no hustle players. And the ones that do have a motor and consistently play with effort and hustle (Marcus, Vando, Jaxx, Adou) are either too streaky, offensively challenged or rookies.
Holding accountability is real to you fans that never played competitively.
This is only news if he’s lying. He’s not.
The question was “does this roster have enough players who…?”, so his answer is a complaint against the team but also the FO, who could/should be looking for that kind of players.
