2. Maybe another Christmas gift could be new eye glasses for Christian Walker to bring back his power hitting and up his batting average. 20/20 vision might just be a simple fix to what seems impossible. Merry Merry 🎄🎄🎄

5. Wish they'd traded Yordon and Framber when they traded Tucker and held off on adding meaningful pieces until after this season. A couple of bad seasons for an aggressive reload would have been preferable to this.

6. I think the astros want to start off as an underdog team with unknown talent and players . Then halfway through the season they become a top team .

   It seems like they done it for a few years now start slow then become good . Hopefully we make playoffs this year though. Not sure though yet. We'll see what happens

The biggest problem for the ASTROS was not getting anything for carlos and George they always want more and you know the astros never ever pay to too much!! so now as the players get older and players leave just like Framber not getting anything how stupid do you have to be should have traded him they are suppose to be smart how many times do you let players go without getting anything i mean cmon!!!!

9. I wholeheartedly agree with @JFairhart

   A new contact lens RX for Walker. His metrics are misleading. Sure, he led the team in home runs and scored a decent amount of RBIs, but holy crap. With men on base, he choked more than he produced. It wasn't that he was swinging at bad pitches, he just wasn't able to hit the good ones. I don't mean to bag on him, but he didn't seem to care about his strikeouts most of the time.

   Where were his hitting coaches? Why were they not reviewing his at bat footage and stepping in? Maybe that's why those coaches were not offered a new contract.

   Either way, we need second half Walker for the whole year. I mean, his contract makes him all but untradable, so the Astros are stuck with him for the next two years. I'm not hopeful he will start anew this coming season.

10. As long as espada is the manager , none of this matters. Astros will continue to suck. So far under espada , we lost in the wild card series BEFORE the playoffs even started and of course we missed EVERYTHING last season.

11. I'm surprised this hasn't been a point of emphasis for the stros, but I really feel like they need another power bat. Someone to not put all the pressure on Alvarez.

14. I think the worst thing to happen to Jose Altuve was the George Springer departure. It put him in the leadoff spot probably with a feeling that he had to replace that power, and he sort of stopped being an all fields hitter. The biggest thing the Astros need is health. They only missed the playoffs by 1 game, and the division by 3. Thirty more games from Yordan have done wonders.

15. Altuve can still be decent, but he needs to play less and bat further down the batting order.

18. Nobody in the national media seems to even be looking at the Astros which is fine with me. We miss the playoffs one year and everyone has completely moved on. Thats how tired they were of us winning every year. They may get their wish if Dana Brown runs the team into the ground, but he hasn't yet.

20. The smart thing to do is to trade Yordan, if we can get enough, and let Altuve dh. I don't think Yordan will ever fully recover his hands. He's my favorite player, but he's hurt all the time. But we'd have to get a haul. Pena/Boras is going to be wanting a half a billion so trade him too for a massive haul. Don't let these guys continue walking for nothing and/or holding us hostage. Paredes looks like he's always going to have hamstring injuries, trade him for those two young stud pitcher that were being talked about. People want to hang on to everyone, I say sell high injury prone and Bor-ass players. Correa can play 3rd or Short. We need young high upside players in our farm….We have absolutely nothing to look forward too. Deal smart while we have old players aging away needing DH play.

21. Those would really be nice gifts to give the Astros!
    Charlie, I think great care would have to be taken to give the correct dosage to Jose Altuve to make sure that we captured him at his prime MVP season. Too much water would send him back to pre-minor league days! Jose could share some with JV! 🤣🤣🤣
    Josh, should precautions be taken to apply several layers of bubble wrap to the layer of bubble wrap that is protecting Yordan Alvare to ensure that the bubble wrap did not get damaged in the shipping process? 🤣🤣🤣
    Brandon, Josh Reddick could gift Hunter Brown a title belt! We can only hope and pray that the new hitting coaches can work with Diaz and have an effect before it gets to that point. It's a good thing that you didn't give Framber Valdez ideas when he was here! 🤣🤣🤣
