Falcons Sports Illustrated On Kirk
“Kirk Cousins is still under contract with the Falcons through the 2026 and 2027 seasons, but he is currently in line to carry a $57.5 million cap number during each year. The number is big enough that the Falcons will be forced to at least consider moving on from him this March before his $10 million roster bonus hits on the fifth league day of the new season.”

Falcons Sports Illustrated On Mac Jones
“Mac Jones is under contract with the 49ers through the 2026 season, but his cap hit is just $3.98 million – a very reasonable number for how he played for them in a pinch this season. The 49ers will likely want to hold onto the backup, but the Falcons may be able to pry him away with day-three draft capital.”

  1. Penix won't be 100% until the middle or end of next season. Keep Kirko as the starter next year, absorb the cap hit (no first rounder to sign, btw) next year and cut him with no penalty the following year.

  2. I think Kirk is the best option for the coming year/s. He's 37, has made a ton of money, had a decent career but with just one playoff win. Winning now should be his priority. His wife is also from Atlanta, so he would probably ideally want to end his career in Atlanta instead of uprooting his family one more time. So I don't think it would be impossible to get him to restructure his contract to something team-friendly. That would make sense both for Kirk and the team.

  3. I don't care who the QB is. I just want Fontenot not to be extended sign Eagles Assistant GM Alec Halaby fire Zac Robinson and allow Halaby to fine tune the roster and most importantly hire the right offensive coordinator that fits our roster and the QB of their choice. Right now we have Arthur Smith style players playing in an offense designed for Matt Stafford and Zac Robinson is not smart enough to create a scheme for our players. He will focus on 1 player at a time 1 week it's Bijan the next it's Kyle Pitts it's never where they all can be effective

  4. Atleast we are on the same page Moose! Out of those only 2 id want and we picked the same 2. Either really if we are sticking with Penix. If we arent going with Penix, id rather malik for his run abilities. With our weapons. Would be sick.
