  1. I hope Freeman stays at ND, he's made them relevant again by pulling in top talent. If I was the Giants I'd be looking at McCarthy as you said, if not HC maybe as an offensive coordinator for the next HC. He's had winning records at everywhere he's been & is great at developing young QB's, which the Giants need if they want to get to the playoffs

  2. Unless Freeman just has a desire to try his luck in the NFL I'm not sure why he wouldn't just stay at Notre Dame for the foreseeable future. Stability rather than working for an NFL team that's not very good. That's why the job would be open to begin with.

  3. If this is true, shame on Marcus Freeman for being dishonest and misleading Notre Dame, the players and fans. This goes against everything he always says and preaches and then to just be quiet about it and not say anything. He needs to address this issue. The Notre Dame fans have been through enough. Right when the going gets a little tough, he just leaves and quits on the team? That makes him a quitter and no better than Brian Kelly. He needs to nip this in the bud now because he is showing poor leadership. God forbid, if he were to leave, he would be making a very risky, big mistake and will burn a bridge with Notre Dame and the fans badly. He is going about this terribly. What ever happened to him always saying, I have to keep reminding myself to be grateful for what I have and be grateful for where I am because you can lose it, just like Brian Kelly and he has said very similar things to this many times. Leaving right now to the NFL, especially the timing of this all is the worst part of it and for him to do it, would go against everything he always says and preaches. He would be a quitter and con. Not a good look at all! If he doesn't like dealing with all the media, then it will be a lot worse in the NFL. His personality and coaching style is more for college, not the pros. He would be turning his back on Notre Dame big time, by doing this. He needs to address all of these rumors real quick because it is getting out of hand now. What kind of example is he setting for these players to not mend the wound and just keep letting all this noise escalate out there and even worse if he leaves, to abandon the team and fans in a time like this. He would be quitting on them and abandoning the team. He would be no better than Brian Kelly. I don't understand all of this. This is all really out of Coach Freeman's character, unless he has us all fooled! This Notre Dame team has a chance to be really special next year. He needs to keep them together, but by letting all this noise escalate without reply is making things a lot worse! Be a leader and put the fire out! Now!
