    It's time to blow up the Leafs and start s rebuild.
    Matthews would probably love to get traded to Vegas or one of the California teams.
    Take back overpriced duds to maximize picks.
    Nylander to a Florida team.
    Reilly to a West coast team.
    OR DO NOTHING AND WATCH THE LEAFS NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS FOR PROBABLY THE NEXT 8 YEARS.

  19. If Leafs want to make the Playoffs this year, they would need to make an impact trade for someone like Crosby.
    But I think they need to focus on improving their D core which will have a trickle effect on the forwards allowing them to focus more on scoring

  22. If Brad goes to upper brass with this trade proposal, he should be fired before he even finishes his sentence.
    Not because Faulk couldn't be a useful piece for TOR if it was a dollar in/dollar out trade, but because Justin Faulk isn't the difference between the Leafs being a bunch of bums and winning a cup.
    Dubas and Treliving both have a history of trading top draft picks and prospects for players who aren't going to turn Toronto into a legit contender.

    Let me say it again, if Brad goes to upper brass with such a trade, he should be fired before his feet hit the ground.

  24. Blues wouldn't trade the Faulken guy but the Leafs could definitely use him. Leafs need a solid 3rd pair. Reilly has been unreliable the past 5 years and I think Myers and Benoit could be improved upon.

  29. Don't you miss Mitch Marner, yet (?) Austin Mathews might be the engine of this Leafs organization, however, a big engine can't go far without a good high-powered transmission to go with it? Mitch Marner was that transmission that had the engine running on high gears.

  32. I think Faulk makes sense if it’s for a Carlo and Robertson – that way you are close on cap and those are two guys that aren’t really helping you anyway but are younger and cheaper for the Blues.
