Alright, I like it. As Willy said, it’s (one more) step towards making changes to fix what’s wrong with the team.
I have to look up what Sullivan was doing on the Marlies…
Edit: he was an assistant coach with the Marlies but I’m not sure what he specialized in there. I didn’t realize he was an AGM for the Coyotes for 4 years too. Loved him as a player!
I know nothing about how coaching career, but he’s a former Leaf and was an underrated player in his day. The PP can’t really get any worse so fuck it let’s go.
Step in the right direction. He’s good.
the Timmins Tornado!
“We are going into a break, so we will see where we go moving forward, and if that is something we handle internally or if we make an addition to our staff externally.”
Took them a total of three days to handle this. Either due diligence wasn’t done again so a quick move was made, or Treliving already had Sullivan in mind.
Stevie was a DAWG in his playing days hopefully it rubs off on some of these damn soulless losers.
Not bad as long as you don’t look at how the Marlies’ PP has been doing… :s
I loved Sully back when he was banging with the buds
Love this.

Nice
Interesting choice. Not sure how he is as a coach. As a player I always felt he had a lot of similarities to Nick Robertson. Maybe he can get Nick going.
TIMMINS GOLDEN BEARS LEGEND
Hopefully we don’t dump him for Dimitri Khristich again this time!
Stevie came home!
Loved him as a player. Hope he does well.
He was great in his short time in Toronto……he did really well for himself being the other side of the Doug Gilmour trade.
Softened the blow there…hopefully he can do the same up with the Big Club here.
Don’t lose him on waivers this time!
Loved him as a player – don’t really know much about him as a coach. He’ll at least bring the right attitude to the dressing room if nothing else
Kinda feels as much like Tre didn’t feel like doing any due diligence and just grabbed someone who was popular with the fans as much as anything, but I guess we’ll see
This could be a sneaky good move if he can light a fire under the boys.
Think he might be what he need and hoping given Sully’s edge that Chief is willing to listen to him a little bit more and alter course when things are going wrong.
Didn’t realize Sullivan was with the Marlies.
My very first Leafs game was also his Leafs debut. We lost to the Caps. Looking back at the box score, I see that Craig Berube scored that game too.
I literally thought Savard was Sullivan bahahhaha.
Just a really decent human being and a very smart hockey player
I wanna know why they got rid of him for Khristich.
Checked his hockey DB and apparently the Leafs put him on waivers, he got claimed, and then became a 60 point player for years.
Some things never change.
Always liked Sullivan’s play!!!
I dont think ive seen it said in this thread. What was his role with the Marlies specifically? Does this seem like a good fit or just a fix for the season?

Smh always former Soo Greyhounds /s
Due I love this guy.
So much fire and passion for an undersized guy. Never forget the fan incident.
If we can’t get James P. Sullivan it may as well be Steve!
221 powerplay points in his 1011 game career. (Even though Savard showed career powerplay points don’t really matter)
From Savvy to Sully

The Marlies PP is pretty good is it not?
