60 mil tax bill per Cots contracts
Didn’t they get like 10 million saved from McNeil, 30 mill saved from Pete, and over 19 mill saved from sterling marte? That’s almost 60 mill. Also Bellinger is so overrated I have a feeling he’s going to be injury prone during his contract I would definitely not give him anything over five years I don’t even want to give him five.
Stearns isn’t signing bellinger, it’s only bums from here on out, going to find a fourth outfielder for left field and stick with Taylor for center until Benge ready
Go get Okamoto hes close to a Belinger without the injury problems. He also plays 1st 3rd and lf. Then we can get a little minus hitter with high defensive upside.
They need to add two outfielders and ditch Tyrone Taylor. I think a 31 year old defense first outfielder making more than three million per year is a waste of resources. You can replace his production at half the cost.
So glad Mets have an owner worth over 20 billion dollars so we can stop the payroll talk constantly, oh wait..
Let's cut to the quick instead of bean counting. Juan Soto's immense contract is the reason for Cohen's sudden frugality. He's using Stearns as cover.
i think 50 mill, mets are not going into the season without a big bat, and idk if there get a #1 or #2 starter but they'll probably get a #3 kinda guy
Mets have got to bring their players from the Farm again! Give them a shot with some of the veterans! It will be ages of mix with youth & energy! Give the kids another Shot early in the season! Let’s go get our 3rd 🥉 Championship Rings! Got to Believe ! 🎉
Mets won’t do much more. Stearns will just keep signing more players coming off injury or down years. I could also see a scenario where all the teams get the free agents they want and then Stearns will fill the rest of the roster with whoever is left to cheap contracts. Stearns wants reclamation products and never a proven player that you can trust.

Payroll low, fans non existent. They destroyed the team. They should pay big time.
