If Boras is really looking for 400 million for 10 years, I’m not sure how you bring Belli back at that number or even close to that sort of deal.
Well idk if Hal will allow that. For the most recent years Yankees do tend to struggle negotiating with Boras clients. When Judge speaks, Hal does listens, as of now the owner is in a financial bind. I'd rather have Belli get 5 years with an opt out.
Let's get it done Yankees!!
Another Judge picks Friendships Over Winning,,, Tucker is the Better Player support that move!!!!!
Judge brought you Verdugo, Goldy, … Not the best picker out there
The Yankees are acquiring hope this offseason ….again.
happy holidays Ryan Garcia and keep up the good work let's go Yankees
Six years 180, million. Take it or leave it.
@firesideyankees Ryan Garcia I doubt that the Yankees are going to re-sign Cody Bellinger and Jack Curry is wrong that the Yankees are out on Tatsuya Imai and I didn’t hear Cashman said that! Yankees are still Imai
Spare me. Judge pushes for Boone as well.
Goldy played well for us last season very good against lefty pitchers good defense smart baseball player if he took 300million I would bring him back
Tell Hal stop being a cheapskate he is a multi-billionaire go sign bichette, bellinger and a starter so the Yankees can go after a world series
somebody tell Judge to nudge for Imai and Okamoto as well
If judge wants to defer some of his money to bring belli back and sign other areas of need sure if not he should sit down and shut up
I am sure he is but Heyman is on the Boras payroll as we learned last year with Soto.Boras is pushing for a crazy AAV deal with crazy years. They need so much more.I would give him 6 years for $180 million and Boras wants $300 million plus
They need him but they need a right hand bat and pitching
Bellinger should not be offered more than 4 years. If they give him more they are just bidding against themselves. Where's the market for him?
Let Judge pay the extra year then
Ok sign him and trade for Marte and a stud pitcher and let Jazz, Dominguez and Gil go along with Escarra and whoever else.
He is a top 20 player because of his versatility and defense
I think DJ would have been ok except for the foot injuries that crushed him
Ryan, 🛑! If Cody doesn’t get hurt and have that slump last year, he’s easily top 30! All things considered. Since you said it matter of fact. List the 40 , 30 ahead of him. Talking out of your (ass). As usual.
DJ comparison is completely unfounded 😢.
I am a die hard Yankee fan for 55 years. I like your comments and insights, but please, you talk way too much, way too long.
Heyman "has a connection to Boras" is a great under statement. : -) Boras uses Heyman all the time to pump stories and interest. Scott absolutely wants to try to get a Yankees-vs-Mets redux bidding war he had last year with Soto, hence why this story connects both teams. Meanwhile, the Yankees have leaked interest in Austin Hays, who is a lefty killer and would make a great platoon partner with Dominguez. We're in the negotiating-through-the-media phase. That's a good sign; it means we're getting closer. I suspect the Yankees will walk away from Bellinger without regrets. All things being equal, I see Bellinger returning to the Yankees, but Cohen has the capability to not make things equal. That is how Soto ended up a Met.
I strongly believe Bellinger wants to be a Yankee, and vice versa. 5 year deal would be best for Yankees because, let's face it, a 4 year deal is not a possibility. Since 5 years is minimum, I would consider a 6 year deal too depending on the avv because the Judge window is shrinking. Outside of injury scenario, I believe Cody will be a strong plus contributor for at least next 3-4 years. I wouldn't let 5 v. 6 years interfere with Judge's window right now.
