I was never a season-ticket holder but went to 5-6 games a season. I forget how the ramps and sections worked, and I know season-ticket holders can help me here.

RED: The red seating entrances were on the same level as the ticket gates? You could scan your ticket, get your Ice Time, and walk right through those red entrances, right?

GREEN AND PURPLE: How did you get to these levels exactly? I want to say there were big ramps that took you up to D but I can't remember how you got up to the E seats. And I definitely remember the medieval-castle steps they shoehorned in to get up to F haha!

PRESS BOX: Were these only accessible by elevator?

BONUS: What caused the dead-end areas of the concourses? I can remember walking around the concourse and then literally hitting a wall and having to turn around, but I can't nail down exactly why, structurally. Thanks for any help you can give!

  1. Red was main concourse. Green was up another level, accessible from the ramps. Then for the balconies there was a staircases for getting into the F level. Im drawing a blank on how you got to the e balcony.

  2. red was main concourse. there was also an additional stairway there that let you go down into a separate area with concessions and bar

  3. There was an elevator to the press box but as I recall it only went so far and to access the top level of that box there was a short staircase.

  4. Since you are down this path, check out the Arena in The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh. You can truly capture how much was squeezed in under the big metal dome in the following decades

  5. I had season tickets in F for a season. The stairway up there was tight and a little scary. Amazing view, though.
