Jason Licht: “We like the guys that we have. We’re building a culture here and don’t want to mess with that”

  1. I usually ignore outlandish trade ideas. But this one i will indulge myself to a holiday treat.

  2. Horrible take.

Especially because Crosby didn’t “walk out”, so much as he realized that attempting to play on a barely held-together knee for a non-playoff squad want going to help him, and it was just fucking a team and new player who could use those quality reps to prepare for a new season.

I’m also upset that my middle-aged ass could probably perform as well as Reddick did, this year, but this pie-in-the-sky hopium is the wrong approach. Never mind the fact that we all know Licht isn’t opening the checkbook like that.

  3. Unfortunately we have too many holes to trade for an elite edge rusher unless an organization gives us a massive discount or we trade one of our valuable players

  4. I’d like this but I’m not sure it happens, it does seem like a hair too much but I could be wrong. Crosby is a blue chip talent, you rarely get those at pick 18 or higher (it’s possible but rare).

I’d say he’s worth two 1sts in my opinion but I could see a package for him being something closer to 2 1sts and a decent player (maybe Zyon or Elijah Roberts) for Maxx and a 2nd. There’s a lot of different packages for picks and players that could be drawn up realistically, but anything equal to or less than 2 firsts is good enough for me. I would prefer it being something more like a first and a player for Maxx because then we could keep our 2027 first for an Evans replacement (another blue-chip talent, but Licht has shown better ability to draft WRs, and we’re contenders with Crosby).

  5. This would be a fucking awful deal for Tampa.

We need DBs and LBs so bad. Throwing away three early round picks for an injured diva is not the way to go

Maxx Crosby is not gonna help Baker get a ring.
