Bo definitely has some major flaws in his play-calling but he’s been gradually improving over time. Don’t think he should be brought back but I can see a world where he becomes a really good OC someday.
He is getting better every week. At first he was meh but that makes sense given the situation. As he and Cam have gotten more comfortable and in synch with each other he has really started to become good at the job. Would love them to keep him with Bones and Frank Bush. Personnel drastically effects what they can do but at least hes way better than Cally, and getting better.
I’m a Bo-liever after that 4th down pass to Gunnar Helm. He dropped the catch but he was schemed wide open and no one saw it coming and the more I think about it, the cooler that was.
Callahan wasn’t our guy but also went through an absolutely brutal slate of defenses with a brand new rookie and an o-line that hadn’t fully learned to work with each other yet. I wouldn’t take this chart at face value.
Hardegree gets a lot of flack and he hasn’t been great but he was thrust into the role after Callahan couldn’t do it effectively and Holz is useless. It’s natural for him to struggle being a first time playcaller in an offense he didn’t design. The fact he’s a lot better than Callahan and is improving says a lot.
This is a dumb stat. You know how I know? Because Dan Campbell improved our offense through the season until the very end when the OL fell apart, apparently not in the scripted portion, though.
Again the amount of folks getting to the “hey we should bring Bo and McCoy back in some capacity” point is astonishing. They should get credit for pulling this dreadful season across the finish line with some positivity, but these people should not be back. Bones sure, his unit is the only one that has been performing well all season. I would even entertain Dennard back if we had a defensive HC that liked him. Otherwise this staff needs to be banished into the ether. Im sure if we lose to Jax and NO the pitchforks will be back. But please don’t start acting like Hardegree and McCoy or anyone on the offensive staff should return.
Belichick wants Bo to call plays at UNC.
Bo is pretty respected in the league. Theres been some real conservative moments though and it makes me wonder if its him or McCoy making those calls but yeah IDK if you can keep him next year.
Us hiring Belichick is probably his only hope for staying.
But his offense also got us looking at potentially 3 wins in 4 weeks?
Ill say it.
Bo deserves a chance with more talent on the team.
I dont know if he will get it though
He looks way better just watching the games
When did the Browns give play calling duties to trees
