  1. Jordan Walsh started cooling down and walking back to the bench the second Mazzula stepped in front of him. Once he was sitting down, Mazzula gave him a hard high five.

We have a leader of men who is also a mad genius basketball mind.

  2. I feel like I missed that angle live. From the other side it did look like walsh initiated the pushing. If the refs had access to this angle and still called a tech on Walsh I just understand what the rules are.

  3. I went back and watched the Indiana coverage for this moment, and even they were confused.

On our broadcast, Scal said TJ might have thought it was Walsh who hit him on the way down. Indiana’s announcers said there must have been something that happened earlier (and a fan does say that in the background of their broadcast).

I think it was probably a little of both, but also just TJ trying to get the team energised. Siakam complained the team were too comfortable with losing after last game, there’s clearly an issue in Indiana’s locker room.

And tbf to TJ, he was able to generate a little run from this. The team just wasn’t able to build on it.

Good on Walsh for standing his ground though.
