And who are you letting go 🫡

  1. Malkin is pretty much the only one. Koivunen and Silovs will be brought back the rest really don’t matter. Lizottes a good 4C but I’d think he might want to go to a good team.

  2. Acciari is one of our better veteran playmakers. Seems like he’s on the puck every shift

  3. If you keep Kulak instead of dealing him at the deadline you should resign him. As an Oilers fan I really miss having him. I think he most likely will be a valuable trade piece for you at the deadline.

  4. Koivunen, Silovs, Shea, Dewar, Lizotte: Re-Sign

Tomasino, Heinen, Dumba, Hayes: Currently have no trade value

Skinner: Depends on how cooked we are at the deadline.

    Acciari, Kulak, Clifton: Trade

Mantha: Keep a scoring winger for Malkin

    Malkin: Please keep. Please.

  5. Keep: Geno if he wants it, Mantha, Dewar, Lizzo, Shea, Arty. Clifton

    Indifferent: Tomasino, Koivunen, Acciari. Kulak

    Let Go: everyone else

  6. If Malkin wants to return, he’s the only 1. And I’d give him no more than 4-5 million

  7. Geno, Lizotte, and Koivunen are the only ones I’d even consider tbh

I’m surprised how few people want to keep Koivunen. I get he hasn’t been good yet but I think you have to give him more time to see if he’s anything.

  8. No one on this list. To be honest, I would consider only Crosby Mcgroaty and kindel as the sole keepers on this roster. I would sell everyone else for parts.

  9. the goal is simple: first and foremost, get Geno healthy and start winning games. If that doesn’t happen, then everyone is trade bait.

Ideally, 1–2 guys play well enough to sell for something meaningful at the deadline (looking at you: Mantha, Kulak, Skinner). If Pettersson and DOC can get us a first, maybe Dubas can pull off some magic again. And if, by some miracle, we’re still alive in the race at that point, you don’t have to sell like it’s a fire sale.

Malkin is our sweet prince. He can go if he wants, or he can stay and name his price. I’d love to see him stay, but I completely understand if he wants off the dumpster fire to chase another Cup.

For what it’s worth, I think the following guys are serviceable depth pieces I’d re-sign at fair value: Dewar, Lizotte, Shea, and Silovs.

Might just be me, but I’m not sure Ville has that dog in him. If he’s not getting PP minutes, I don’t know if the juice is worth the squeeze. Small, slow, and low confidence does not bode well for the NHL.
