1. There is NO REASON why MAF would come back to play for Edmonton either after this. He also did the preseason game with Pittsburgh because he won the Cup there and was always a favorite.

2. The Oilers have entertained some ridiculous goaltending ideas recently. At this point why not give MAF a shot if he's interested, there's no way he could do worse than anyone they're planning on putting between the pipes for the remainder of the season. Until they lay out some serious money on a goalie that could be considered among the top 5 in the league they're only wasting time and eventually the team that has made it to two consecutive finals is going to burn out and the team will have screwed away their opportunity at a cup. The clock is ticking, they need to stop dicking around and pay whatever it takes for an actual top notch goalie. If none are currently available then beg MAF, he's a God in goalie pads, maybe he's got 1 miracle left in him.

3. If they are going to sign a goalie well last his prime just for good vibes, how about a 10 day for Carey Price. His cowboy hat would look cool in the pregame walk in
