  1. We’ve sucked hard enough this year that we are probably going to get a new starting RT, DT or EDGE in the draft next year. We are going to be drafting low enough that a starter at one of those positions probably falls to us and we just take him. Even if somebody like Jeremiyah Love is sitting there at 12 overall and we are on the clock, I just cannot see Veach passes on a franchise Right Tackle, EDGE Rusher or Defensive Tackle to take a running back. Just can’t see it.

    People say, resign Taylor, cut Taylor, start Moore, keep Esa Pole. Guys, we might have a whole new starting Right Tackle next year considering we are going to be drafting high enough.

  4. There was a discussion about most disappointing first-round picks on NFLv2 yesterday, and while we’ll have plenty of time to cover all that next year, I couldn’t help but chime in:

    >There are a lot to pick from in KC’s history- Todd Blackledge, Jon Baldwin, Tyson Jackson, Ryan Sims, Sly Morris, Breeland Speaks (2nd, but Veach’s first-ever pick) especially- but I’m going to give the crown right now to FAU.

    >You’re hosting the NFL draft off fresh off a Super Bowl win. You have the heir apparent to Travis Kelce in Sam LaPorta fall into your lap, and Joey Porter Jr is sitting there at CB. Brian Branch has been mocked to go to you by several outlets.

    >But you get caught up in the moment and pick the hometown DE who grew up nearby and went to K-State, and… he’s started three games in three years (on IR this year, so really two) with a total of 24 solo tackles to show for it.
