The Arizona Cardinals placed offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. (knee) on injured reserve on Saturday, ending his season with two games to go.

He graded out as a top-20 tackle among 83 players who qualified, per PFF. That includes a pass-blocking grade that ranked 15th.

Arizona also signed defensive lineman Zach Carter to the active roster from its practice squad, with two separate practice squad elevations: cornerback Jaden Davis and wide receiver Steven Sims.

  1. At this point it feels like we’re placing our best players on IR to make sure we’re not winning any more game this season. Watch MHJ not play tomorrow aswell

  2. Objectively this is the right move. There’s nothing to gain from this season. Continue the tank, let our best players get healthy. This off-season will be defined by Monti, but there is a way forward

  3. I get that this seems strategic, but hasn’t this team been killed by injuries multiple years in a row? Shouldn’t they look into getting a new strength and conditioning staff also? I could be way wrong about this
