The pro-Embiid bots are working overtime this weekend
It’s not about the speed. It’s the entire flow of the offense changing to let him cook
I think the concern is more with transition offense and defense.
Sixers this year never had a high pace since they had a really long offensive possession length.

It’s actually hilarious how all the “Embiid is ruining the Sixers” takes are basically objectively wrong when you look at any statistic.
So the sixers play faster without embiid what are you trying to prove here? Embiid is removed from his prime anyone saying they play faster and flow better is right.
The concern should be maxey at this point. We know what we are getting from joel and PG if healthy but maxey needs to take that next step. People are going to look at his ppg without realizing his usg and minutes played. When maxey shot isn’t falling he is a massive negative on the floor because of poor defense and his inability to create for other guys. We cant keep using the he is young etc bullshit excuse Joel never got by the way… Maxey is a max money player now and if his 3ball isn’t falling he is useless.
The reason their pace of play is slower without joel is because now running an offense is that much harder because joel still draws 2 guys at all times and sometimes 3 guys. This is a shot at everyone else including maxey/grimes who have limited offensive bags and just rely on hot shooting.
Been saying it for years, maxey is a true SG and cannot create for others
I think the point you are missing is that it doesn’t matter if they are better with him or not if he’s only available for less than half the games. This will get you a quick exit from the playoffs (you are fooling yourself if you somehow think he will miraculously be able to play in most of the 25 or so play games they would need for a ring).
And the fact is they’re 6-7 when he plays, 10-6 when he doesn’t. The only stat that matters in the real world is wins and losses. Only fans trying to explain why their bad team is actually good pull out all of these other stats.
VJ, PG and Maxey all missed open shots in the 4th that would have completely changed the outcome yesterday
Players standing around when he has the ball is still a problem. But hey, if it’s everyone else, then trade them, and keep trying to build around Embiid.
