Lightning win 4-2.

  1. That was a fantastic game of hockey. Exciting as hell. All the extracurricular activities you expect outta the best rivalry in hockey at this point. Sad we lost but it’s on us at the end of the day. Tampa was practically begging us to tie it with the way they played and the penalties they took. We generated some **INCREDIBLE** chance time and time again on the PP and we were on it for what felt like the entire 3rd period but whether it was Eetu’s tip chance, Verhaeghe’s shot, off the crossbar… we just couldn’t put the 3rd one home tonight on Vasy.

Proud as hell of Kunin for throwing down somebody who’s got 9 inches on him. Marchand’s 37 and also ate a bodycheck from Raddysh and he popped right back up while Raddysh hit the lockers hurting himself. Let’s meet in the playoffs where they can’t cherry pick their goons up and we’ll have the last laugh again.

  2. Can’t wait for the next one, loved the effort for the boys, unfortunately we just couldn’t find the net. Good game to the lightning and we’ll see you soon!

  3. Man that was frustrating. Yall have a great Sunday and see ya on Monday for the Caps.

Canes beat the red wings 5-2

  4. I’m not going to bitch and whine like the rest of the league does when they lose a close one to us. I thought that was a fantastic game coming off the break. I had a ton of fun.

  5. Tampa gave us every opportunity to win that game and we politely declined. Clearly the boys were still in the Christmas spirit of giving away points to division rivals.

  6. Awesome game to watch, that was real hockey right there. Pure hatred and violence. That being said Tampa was tougher and hungrier today. Hopefully that changes when Tkachuk is back. 1-10 on the power play is disgraceful.

  7. Shit happens move on. Can’t harp on it. Just gotta focus on how to improve (power play) and keep it moving. Hats off to Vasi. He locked in during the PP in the 3rd.

  8. Sorry yall lost, but if you were at the game and saw two dudes in Sharks jerseys, that was me and my brother. Thanks for having us. It was a blast!

  9. Deserved loss, didn’t do much 5 on 5 and go 1/13 on the power play… if this game happens in a week we probably win but looked pretty sloppy tonight

  10. That’s a tough loss to take. Division rival at home and we drop crucial points in a tight division race. And what’s worse, a lot of it was self inflicted. Giving up a shorthanded goal, giving up a late period goal, failing to convert on over half period’s worth of power play time in the third.

From the jump, we just did not look good at all. Poor passing, mishandling the puck, getting caught out of position, getting beat along the boards, losing puck battles. I knew this would be a game Tampa would come out looking to make a statement and we just weren’t able to respond. What’s worse, is we have a b2b against two teams that have had our number as of recent in Washington and Montreal. Hopefully we look more prepared going into those games than we did tonight.

  11. Hell of a well fought game. Can’t be too mad dropping one giving the recent record.

This kind of game script with all the special teams really works against us while we’re missing Chucky and Barkov.

  12. As frustrating as that was, I’m not really upset. Tampa made this a mud fight, and FL couldn’t capitalize. Next time we’ll have Chucky back and maybe be able to finish a goddamn PP goal

  13. TBL fans – “I don’t care if we lose, I want to send a message to Florida”

*Gets penalties called doing exactly what they wanted*

    TBL fans – Pikachu face

That said our PP looked horrendous and yet again they give up multiple goals on the rush. Overall not a bad game still in a playoff spot and trending on the right direction.

  14. Yeah that was a solid loss. Underneath all the fisticuffs if you can’t score on THAT MANY man advantages then you’re not winning and it’s not because Tampa dirty Panthers angels. Onto the next!

  15. Not a single whiny comment in here blaming anyone else for this loss. Bravo, ladies and gents. It really is an honor being a Panthers fan.

  16. Pretty lousy and losses matter more than wins in the points race right now. And it doesn’t seem like Tkachuk’s back soon.

    Just keep on hanging on.

  17. Missing our two best offensive players on the PP is obvious. Especially against a team that knows us that well. Plenty of chances. Plenty of hypocrisy from Tampa fan who already think they were clean that game and Campbell was giving them PPs. Plenty of season left to climb the standings.

  18. I’d love to see a stat that shows the record of teams that go on the PP 11 or 12 times (whatever the insane amount was) in a single game.

Not having Tkachuk is a killer there, but there’s no excuse for going 1 for 11 on an entire period worth of man advantage.
