Imagine JB keeps on doing what he is doing all season long while having JT occupying the Jordan Walsh spot as a starter. JT giving the team a minimum of 16-6-5 a night is an extreme premium. DWhite and PP will be more comfortable and will not be tasked to be the main ball handlers. If JT is ready, I cannot wait for him to return. Banner 19 is not that distant for this season.

I agree. The question is would Tatum willingly adjust to this role? Especially given his affinity for Kobe and all that comes with it

I think the current iteration of JB would have won vs Knicks, and vs Miami in the playoffs when JT went down. That’s the biggest difference
Tatum is going to do whatever is needed for the Celtics to win and he’s going to do it at a ridiculously high level because that’s what he does.
