He’s destined to be a full-time DH once Salvy retires anyway
I thought it was interesting that he referenced his fWAR.
I love Vinnie. He is such a straight shooter.
I guess that means the contract gonna be cheaper then we all think
National treasure.
Gotta love Vinnie. What a freaking man! Takes accountability, while so many others in his position could skirt being accountable for his liabilities. I hope he has a monster season this year. I would love for this bunch to make a run at the pennant.
Give this man a modest extension to buy out arbitration now!
He would get so downvoted in this sub for that take lmao
This exchange alone, plus the fact that he hit 30 HR and 100 RBI last year (counting stats I know but relevant) should get him an extension. I’m not gassing him up bc it’s Vinnie I genuinely believe it shows a level of accountability and desire to get better that most players either don’t have or don’t openly show
You pair that with the fact that he actually is genuinely talented (and can play gold glove level defense for at least a short period of time during the season) and I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to extend him right away. He’s a great inspiration to the clubhouse even as a younger player
Vinnie is absolutely the best! He’s not going anywhere though. We have to make him a Royal for life.
My dawg. It still makes my voice go up an octave or three every time he does the splits (like it’s nothing) grabbing a ball.
