Cmon McDermott

  1. I don’t hate the call, since the game didn’t really mater and the new kicker already missed an xp. I hate not letting Josh run it in.

  2. Easy call, good play call, below avg execution. If I’m a Bills fan I’m happy with it

  3. The call was good and the WR was wide open.

For once it was Allen who the blame falls on. That off balance pass was rough

  4. Nah it was the right call. McDermott has never won in OT. Also, the play call itself was perfect, Allen just fucked up a throw thats normally automatic for him.

  5. In the playoffs they probably kick, but it’s deep into the season, it was slop game, players were getting banged up left and right. Just go for 2, don’t subject your team to another 10 min of this for a mildly better chance at a win, and stay healthy for the playoffs.

  6. Not his fault. Badgley kissing that XP made the end of the game so much harder than it needed to be

  7. They had an extra point blocked like 5 minutes earlier in the game. There was no guarantee either way.

    Josh should have had that.

  8. Imo I’d go for 2 every fucking time if i only need 2 fucking yards to win the game rather than a defensive stop + driving down the field for another TD or chance of missing a FG

  9. Everyone questions this when it doesn’t work.

The play was done perfectly, should’ve been good, but Josh missed the throw. If they were fighting to get into the playoffs, they probably play for OT, but they’re already in. Bring it to one play, end the game, move on to next week

  10. Especially since the Eagles looked completely done. Could’ve gotten a stop and scored while they were reeling but instead they get to limp out of Buffalo with a W after a disgusting second half.

  11. Gotta say, they dominated second half. Should’ve kicked XP then took chances in OT….but I don’t get paid to make those decisions.

  12. I like the call. Do it for the fans. 40 degrees and raining for 3 hours sitting through a pretty meaningless game since both teams are in the playoffs. Let those poor fans go home. Don’t risk your team getting hurt in an extra quarter. Play was drawn up well and Allen missed.

  13. If I was a head coach I’d simply go for 2 when it would be successful but kick a field goal when it would not.

  14. It’s a game that’s relatively inconsequential. Division lead is pretty much all but sealed and they already have playoffs clinched.

Going to OT and risking your players health and energy with two weeks in the season left seems like a waste of time.

Coaches 100% consider how many plays their guys are on the field for and how taxing that can be. Obviously the goal is to win but cost/benefit has to be evaluated at this point in the season.
