Even though brosef has been shooting tour dates post cup win (35% fg//23% 3pfg%) he is beyond integral to the winning.
Respect OG. Thank you Leon.
(and I will always love you immanuel)

Im just not sure it’ll work out….
Na sadly rj was just meh,I liked q alot but not that consequential
Tough trade but the right trade. The trade that ended the rebuild phase and ushered in the contender phase.
Knicks are 82-37 (.689 win percentage) with OG playing since the trade. That’s almost a 57 win pace for a full season.
I was thrilled when the trade was announced. You can find RJ and IQ all over the league. OG is the rarest type of player to find. One of the best Knicks trades this century
If JB is the best free agent signing in team history, is OG the best trade? Historically, some may say Earl the Pearl but that’s way before my time. I can’t think of a more important trade in my 30+ years as a fan.
The day me (IQ) and my dad’s (RJ) favorite players were shipped off. We both had a jersey of each, it was a dark day in our fandom/family
Shoutout to OG for making the grieving period as short and sweet as possible. Will always root for those guys except when we’re playing them, but man do I love having the dOG on our squad
Transformed our team
I was so bummed about losing IQ (my favorite Knick at the time), I remember the alert came up while I was driving I nearly had to pull over. However after about halftime of OG’s first game, I was absolutely loving him.
When they interviewed him, he just said I had no idea what to do so I cut, cut, cut and that shit won me over.
Huge OG Fan, and overall very happy with the trade
I was upset Quickley was included when it happened. Thankfully, I can see in hindsight that this was a no brainer. OG has been a monster.
I like this guy
Draft RJ Keep RJ I used to spam that in here all the time and IQ played with that New York hustle you gotta love! Was a sad move but the right one. OG does both their jobs better on both ends of the floor what a blessing to have him.
Hurt so much at the time- but we wouldn’t be where we are now without it
Front office was cookin’.
Its been 2 years already?
So glad to have been done with Barrett; sad to see quick go. In the end it was a great trade for us
RJ is by far having his best year ever, so that’s nice for him. His efficiecy is finally approaching solid levels.
I was shocked at first. I thought that the Knicks were ride or die with RJ and that they were gonna go with IQ as much as possible.
Next thing I know the team started a winning streak with OG and I never looked back. Honestly, felt the same way when Randle and Donte were shipped to Minnesota.
It was right after I got my rj Barret jersey for Xmas
Remember OG’s first game or two? Didn’t know the system and was like, “I’ll just keep cutting”. Instantly changed the team on both ends.
He’s moving up my list of all time favorite Knicks. I love watching him play
IMO the Knicks have 3 Championship caliber players – and by that I mean Game 7, fourth quarter, two minutes on the clock and you need a big time play – OG is one of those dudes! Also Brunson and Mitch.
I was sad to see them go, but was a big og fan.
The demon has been killing it.
I’m happy to see rj having a career year too. Until his injury Toronto was playing really well. Iq has been good too, but suffering from many injuries
A rare good trade for both sides
I think a lot of folks already came to terms with RJ going at some point. Losing Quick hurt.
Seeing how the team came together once OG got here and the emergence of Deuce (who had the best contract at the time) helped move on quick.
And so many of y’all thought this was a bad trade, that RJ would be a star, that IQ would be a star…
I am so glad to have been wrong about this. OG is an absolute monster and although I miss Quickley skipping up and down msg, we fleeced tf out of Toronto here.
It’s crazy because now raptor fans can’t wait to trade IQ because of his inconsistency. Also his defense fell off a cliff in Toronto and I think that’s largely because they have him starting, in NYC he was coming off the bench so some of his flaws were less likely to be seen.
Also in the era of the second apron, iq making 33 million means it will be tough to trade him.
Idk what to say abt OG, just like there are players who take over the game offensively, this man once the game is on the line with two mins left, he raises his defense to another level. With him, kal and Robinson, along with deuce, the defense is humming
OG is the reward for years of Ujiri fleecing and this specific play:
The only thing people had against this trade was losing IQ, but we had no plan of paying him money to come off the bench and deuce was a good replacement and now with coach Brown we have found others who can be productive off the bench as well if needed

Best trade in franchise history
