  1. Either way, I feel like they should still take a Center in the 2nd round and if Lew or Brailsford are gone, maybe the 4th round. But, it is still possible they have their center on staff already and/or possibly a UFA

  2. Frank is retired…. Holmes called him outta desperation because he screwed the pooch not taking a center in the draft .. instead taking two guards and another DT.
Guards are not centers and shouldn't be considered to moving to center, they need a true center.
So, Holmes fuked up and calling Frank was an act of desperation.

  3. Maybe this bum gets injured in Chicago and we are forced to find another option for next season. Imo that’s our only way to get rid of this bum. I’m talking about Jared Goof.

  4. Goff's comment tells me that Ragnow tried to comeback out of desperation to help the tragedy of this year's O-Line. It wasn't a full-fledged commitment to return – just to help.

And from my personal viewpoint, he saw the devastation that his unprepared for retirement caused and he felt guilty. More confirmation that the loss of Ragnow was far more impactful than Ben Johnson

  5. Talking about not restructuring goffs contract and all this talk about what we're going to do with him is stupid. You really think brad Holmes is sitting home shocked Goff can't move and we need a QB that can? He knew what Goff was and he knows what Goff needs. That's why he didn't make any trades at the deadline. Only fans thought this team was good, Brad knew. We are absolutely going to restructure his contract and we will put the money in this o line. 0% chance it's not happening

  6. Frank was probably only ever coming back a few weeks ago because he might have felt guilty and seeing how desperate the team was. Don’t think he sees a new future in the nfl either.

  7. I encourage all Lions fans to give Frank as much love as we can. The Lions will have an uphill battle this offseason. With the current state of the offensive line, I have a strong feeling that Taylor Decker will retire and Graham Glasgow is a coin flip. I strongly believe that if Frank returns that puts the Lions back Super Bowl contention next year because the only thing the Lions will have to address on the ol is getting a LG and will be back at elite status on the OL. If Frank does not return then even if Decker decides to stay, the team will still need a new C and G, and if Decker retires a T as well. Those are too many players to recruit through FA especially considering all of the work that needs to be done on the defensive side with not only the line but the backfield. The S position is decimated by career threatening injuries. The only place of strength on that side of the ball is in the LB room. There's no way the Lions will be able to sign so many quality players as well as backups placing Frank as the different maker for next season. With him you are a Super Bowl contender and without him your season will look much like this one did since Goff is so dependent on not just a good OL but must have an elite OL. He has such an incredible impact on the game that if he had played this year, I am confident that the Lions would not only be in the postseason but would be at the top of the NFC. That one player affects three other positions on the OL. The team can overcome coordinator changes just like the Eagles did for their Super Bowl, but the Eagles did not have to revamp both sides of the trenches along with coaching. That is too much to overcome. The Lions need Frank for just one more year, and after that year the window will be closed. If he doesn't come back then it is closed now.

  8. If it wasn't for Gibbs the Lions wouldn't have gone as far as they did. It was Sanders all over again. Run the poor guy every play. Thats why Berry retired early. He said at the time that he hated the game for that reason.

  9. The current run is over. I would rather see Goff on another team and the Lions looking for the next guy. There is little chance they make the playoffs next year anyway.
