i cant believe some of u mfs tried to say elandon roberts and devin white were “equal in value” meanwhile our old guys are both top 12 among linebackers while the current guys are both bottom 20 on pff

plus the cap hit to re-sign both would’ve been $18 million a year total

  2. Deablo I believe was let go because of injuries. Raiders always seem to let go of good LBs though.

  3. There is one foolproof path to getting worse, and it is constantly getting worse players.

  4. Don’t disagree. This year especially though, makes me think that it’s our coaches and environment (reference Amy Trask’s comments) that are the problem, not the players. So keep those dudes here…and I’m not sure they see the success they’re seeing elsewhere.

  9. It wasn’t that they weren’t good players, but FO decided they didn’t want to commit long term to most of them. The FAs we signed are mostly 1yrs or easily can get out after the season. I do wish Spillane was kept and this one hurts, but Deablo didn’t do well in our scheme. Anyway, Spytek saved as much cap space as possible, so not upgrading those positions will be unacceptable. Especially Devin White, that dude consistently misses in both tackles and coverage. I hope other teams give him bag just on stats alone.

  11. We need to hit on one badass MLB/ILB like Schweisinger from the Browns last year and that will revamp our whole defense. Our LBs this year either could tackle and not cover, could cover or not tackle, could cover and miss tackles, etc. Just a mixture of bums.

    I think Spytek will redo our whole oline and linebacking core in FA and use the draft for QB and defensive line.
