Inspired by another post talking about Rendons last career homerun, I saw his only left handed Homerun.

He's retiring with a career OPS of 5.000 batting left handed. Some would call him the goat.

Oh man. What a high this was too. What were the angels on a 14 game win streak or something and then like it all fell apart the next day. Record setting losing streak, Maddon fired, the wheels completely came off what was thought to be the year!

Okay so not only did Rendon hit a bomb that night….
But that was also an Ohtani bobblehead giveaway…
And that was the night of Reid Detmer’s no hitter!
I went to that game on the fly by myself because I saw it was a giveaway night. Was only gonna go for a few innings but when like the 4th or 5th rolled around I just kept telling myself I’ll leave when he gives up a hit. Obviously ended up staying the whole game.
I want to go back to then and feel good about the Angels.

It was the first baseball game I’d gone to in a few years, but also my wife’s first ever game. I just picked that game because it was a bobblehead night in April, when we wanted to take a trip there.
Along with the no-hitter, another memory of that game was how cool and funny Brett Phillips was with the fans while playing RF.
