Brett Favre Defends Jordan Love Amid ‘Cheap Gift’ Criticism, Shares His Own Christmas Story With Sterling Sharpe

  1. You guys remember when Favre did that fraud? Was that Medicaid or something else?

Anyway, I hope I don’t need Brett to be the barometer on my ethics.

I also don’t know about this gift thing.

  2. Considering how inconsistent his line has been, 5k is probably what they deserve as a whole tbh. I don’t really give a shit what Favre thinks, but this feels like a classic “whole Lotta nothing” situation

  3. There’s really nothing negative here.

When asked if he thinks the gifts are below what players in Love’s spot should give, Favre said “No. To each his own. Every guy in pro football makes really good money and can afford their own truck or their own shoes, their own watch. I don’t think, Jordan, by any means is cheap.”

Then the article goes on to detail Jordan’s many charitable endeavors.

Though I’m not sure how $120 shoes for the offensive line adds up to $5k. I’m guessing he bought shoes for the entire team, in which case I’d imagine the total cost was higher.

  4. Seriously, if anything, he spent too much. Use that money for charity. The players in the league do financially well

  5. Meanwhile A Rod has a clip up of him giving his O line $30K hot rod Can Am side by sides. Haha.

  6. He gifted the whole team though not just the line. Most QBs are only gifting the O-line. Either way who gives a shit what they’re gifting. He didn’t have to give anything. We’ll see who isn’t broke ten years after retiring.

  7. Reddit is such a bubble. Yall don’t realize how much Favre is still beloved by Packer fans. Dude is the reason majority of current fans even got into football. The stuff he did was wrong. Obviously. But we get it reddit. You dont like him. Lots of people still do.

  8. Comparison is the thief of joy people, Love did a nice thing and got a gift for his teammates.

    Full Stop.

The actions of anyone else, be it another QB, another player, some random Joe schmoe, doesn’t change the fact that he got a gift for them.

  9. Millionaire grown men buying other millionaire grown men gifts is kind of cringe. Complaining about the value of said gift is far worse. Plus a pair of gore-tex af1s are common sense gift given they all spend the winter where it snows.

  10. Farve is NOT the guy to defend anyone on being ‘cheap.’ He’s the MVP of being a nickle-dick.
