  1. Well, yeah. This was obvious last year when the Bears were getting beat like a rented mule. The whole season I was praying that the offensive line, assuming you want to call it that, didn’t get him hurt.

  2. I feel like this dude was always a bears hater. Not that any of these dudes opinions change the fact, but all these talking heads opinions changing of him is very cool to see.

  3. On the year hes top 10 in epa/play, epa/dropback, ANY/a, yards, and TDs. All this with the most drops, yards lost to drops, highest percentage of drops in football, most throwaways, and the team has the worst differential of penalties in football. Hes already a top 10 QB and the stats back him up.

The only thing anyone has against him is cmp% stats and when your main diss has Spencer Rattler and Geno Smith ranked in the top 10 its a bad stat for evaluating. He also again has had the worst luck with his receivers dropping the ball.

I also think he is a 1 of 2 or 3 players ever that has the pocket presence, ability to scramble, and throw on the run at this level. So when he is getting pressured I feel like Ben is telling him you have a gift and you dont have to hit the slant or check down. Get out and look for plays down the field or throw the ball away if something isnt there. Thats awful for cmp% but its great for getting constant chunk plays which is what our offense is built to do.

  4. Needs to win some playoff games to get that level of respect. Whether that’s a good way or bad way to measure QBs, that’s how it’s done.

  5. “And he’ll be paid accordingly.”

The Bears extending him before the contract ends and throwing the boat at him will be a huge surprise. The Halas family still owns the team, and they’re still cheap AF.

  6. Yea, i think everyone sees his potential and that he’s very close to getting there in that trajectory. Next year he will be in everyones MVP list to begin the season. Right now he’s tied for top 5 MVP odds.

My goal for him was he ends this season top 15 QB and next year for most of the season he’s hovering around that top 10. I think right now he’s either in schedule or a bit ahead.

  7. Once he starts staying in the pocket and delivering those hot reads consistently, he will be an mvp candidate.
