I posted yesterday calling out Giants fans who are complacent w/ them being cheap relative to their market. To my surprise the post was met with somewhat positive responses agreeing w/ me.
However, there were a few who tried to make it sound like fans just wanted to overpay for trash. So, let me have one last push in your face to hopefully break some of you out of your spell.
Adrian Houser ~> $11 Million a year 2 years
Tatsuya Imai ~> $18 Million a year over 3 years
A Theater ~> $13 Million forever ♾️
Let’s remember forever that instead of opening up a Japanese market that’s been hungry to arrive in the Bay for an extra $7 million…
We decided to stick with Adrian “Throw up on your mound” Houser.
So, to whoever cried that it would be stupid to sign an Imai for $200 million an overpay him because we want “short term deals”, or “to have him go down on price”.
Enjoy your overpriced movie tickets 🎟️

Most cry baby fan base of all time
Imai got $21M a year when you take into account all compensation.
It’s hard to understand why the Giants wouldn’t have been in that conversation and we will never know. The only thing certain is increased ticket prices for a mediocre 4th place team.
The Front office performance thus far, has been a dismal exercise in striving for mediocrity. News flash, Giants, you get what you pay for. Get used to looking up at the Dodgers scum.
No income tax in Texas makes a big difference
Gonna be a controversial statement…but I think Zaidi is a better POBO than Posey, at least for a team that is going to add around the margins. If we’re gonna function like this, might as well be with the bargain bin king
I don’t understand what part of (and I’m paraphrasing) “we’re not spending a lot this off-season” Giants fans don’t comprehend? …..🤔
Officially the SF Aints now. Most pathetic offseason I’ve seen. Definitely no plans to buy any tickets now.
You’ve never even seen him pitch. Touch some grass
Giants didn’t lie to you, you didn’t pay attention.
Johnson said it was important to make a profit and not to lose money, the goal is to make money, not to make fans happy
I’ve stopped watching and will not watch again until ownership wants to win again. Until, then I’m watching the NY teams since I now live in NYC.
The fact that Ryan Walker is still on the roster is the really depressing part.
Nah you’re not a real fan, have to always praise the front office and never question it. Greg is a god and every decision he makes is the right one.
Yey. I’m only going to whatever game has the 49ers promotions. This team needs a reality check and it will happen if fans stop paying for a mediocre product. Sick of the Dodgers winning everything ffs.
I never bought into Posey being a force for change. I know that’ll be worth downvotes, but when you look at the Giants since their attendance started to decline?
They seemingly made it a goal to “break even.”
Yes, they spent on Chapman and Adames. They also traded for Devers and took on that salary commitment.
But they’re still below the top 10 for spending. Sure, they said they were “in it” for Judge, Harper and Ohtani, but…
Would they spend to field a team around them or would those contracts been attempts to get people in the seats?
Dude. Just watch football and hockey for a while. They’ll be plenty of time to be bummed during the season.
Remember when they spent for Zito ? I’m hoping for something like that.
The only way that ownership will listen is if we stop going to games and stop buying merchandise in record numbers. If they start hemorrhaging profits, then perhaps they’ll listen.
If we cannot afford Imai, who would have signed here, there’s not much hope. Embarrassing…
Hey if the Giants won’t spend then fans should also not spend. Hopefully that ballpark looks like the Oakland coliseum until we get owners that actually care about the team they own.
I’m agreeing that the giants off-season moves have sucked but your anime antagonist monologue lording over everyone is ridiculous. this is a baseball subreddit.
