Wonder what this means for if we end up in a position to draft Caleb Downs. He’s pretty easily one of the best players in the draft and also might fall to us because drafting safety top 10 is a luxury. and if we are at 10/11 I don’t really like a lot of the other options assuming obvious options like Mauigoa and Bain Jr. haven’t fallen for us by some miracle. I’m not super into the idea of taking Delane top 10.

Good player. Arugably very good. Still not sure if great but that is fine, not every player can be. He is obviously hugely important. Look how the defense collapsed once he was not around to wear the green dot. The Rams clearly value him to not only finally pay a safety, but to do so while injured before seeing him take a snap post injury. Happy for Lake and the Rams! Curious to see the terms.

Can’t even remember the last time they signed a Safety they drafted to an extension. Ofc of all the ones, Lake’s deserved it the most. One of the most integral parts of the defense and it’s no wonder the defense has been abysmal since he’s been injured.
