We have our share of Japanese players over the years and they always do well here.
Dodgers fans are already melting down, acting like every other team “saw something wrong” with him. They’re grasping at anything to cope, and it’s hilarious!
thank god, we needed an arm real bad.
I like this move, it shows that we’re serious about addressing the rotation!
I haven’t been this excited about a free agent signing in a long while
His throwing reminds me of Billy Wagner. Tight windup and very quick.
All hail our Daiken overlords haha, I love it !
Now if we can just sign Valdez
I didn’t even know we were even an option to get him. For some reason, I just felt like he was destined for the Cubs and moved on.
This confirms that Framber is long gone like most of us would expect. I really like this signing
Hell yeah! Happy new year!
Holy shit we really needed this with Framber’s absence !!
que gran manera de empezar el año lets go Stros
Great news for the new year 🙂
Considering that Japanese baseball stars are considered gods in Japan, I think that Imai’s presence in Houston is a good incentive and additional advertising for the Japanese brand Daikin not only in Houston but also in Japan.
I wonder if we are still in the market for Verlander? I wasn’t too high on him when I thought he would be our “big free agent” this offseason. I’d love to add him to this pitching staff now.
So is he only a 1 year rental or do you think he stays all 3 years?

Phase 1 completed.
Phase 2: Yusei comes to where he should be.
I know I know. But a man can dream.
